Overview
The Garmin 010-11105-00 is a thru-hull smart sensor (Airmar DT800) that reports water depth and water temperature over a NMEA 2000 network. It uses a 235 kHz, 100 W element with a 12-degree beam and reads depth from about 1.6 ft up to 600 ft.
This model uses a 20-degree tilted element to suit hull deadrise from 16 to 24 degrees, helping the beam point closer to straight down without adding a fairing block. The temperature sensor updates once per second, measures from -10°C to 40°C, and is rated to about ±0.5°C accuracy.

Compatibility and fit
This sensor is for boats with a NMEA 2000 network and a display that can show NMEA 2000 depth and water temperature data. The 20-degree tilt is intended for hulls that carry moderate deadrise in the install area; on flatter bottoms a different tilt option can give a cleaner beam angle.
The plastic housing is specified for fiberglass or metal hull installations. If you are installing through cored laminate, isolate the core and seal the bore correctly to prevent water migration.
Installation and setup
It is a true thru-hull install that uses a 2-inch hole and 2-inch 12 TPI threads, with an outside diameter of about 2.94 inches and an overall height around 4.92 inches. Plan the location where the sensor stays in solid water flow at speed and is accessible from inside the boat for tightening and future service.
Once installed, connect the drop to an open port on a NMEA 2000 T-connector and confirm the depth offset and temperature reading on your display so the numbers match your boat and operating style.
On-board use
This is a good match for boats that already run NMEA 2000 and want depth and water temperature data available anywhere on the network without a separate sounder module. It fits well on fishing boats tracking temp changes and on cruising boats that want a clean, low-profile thru-hull for routine navigation in bays, rivers, and nearshore waters.
Maintenance and care
Keep the outside face free of marine growth to maintain stable depth readings, especially in warm water or slow-speed mooring areas. Periodically inspect the housing and seals during haul-out, and recheck the cable routing and connectors to avoid strain from vibration.
