Overview
The TACO Marine F16-2753-1 is a 3-rod hanger rack for storing fishing rods securely on board, with a polished stainless and white poly layout that suits exposed cockpit, cabin, dock box, garage, or tackle-station installations. It holds three rods and measures 13-1/2 inches long by 1-1/2 inches wide, giving boat owners a tidy way to keep spinning, casting, and conventional rods off the deck and ready for use.
The hanger uses high-polished Type-316L stainless steel with white poly racks made from UV-stabilized material. A patented rod-tip holder with a spring-lock design helps keep rods in position, which is useful when the boat is moving, stored on a lift, or running through chop.
This is a surface-style rod storage system that can mount vertically, horizontally, or overhead. The rack has pre-drilled recessed mounting holes, beveled edges, and concealed fastener styling for a clean installation where visible hardware and rough edges would stand out.
Key features
- Holds three fishing rods in a compact rack layout for cockpit, cabin, overhead, or dockside storage.
- High-polished Type-316L stainless steel supports long-term use in wet marine environments.
- White poly racks use UV-stabilized material to handle sun exposure on open boats and near windows.
- Patented spring-lock rod-tip holder helps keep rods seated during storage and while the vessel is underway.
- Pre-drilled recessed mounting holes make installation straightforward on a suitable flat mounting surface.
- Concealed fastener styling and beveled edges help the rack sit cleanly against the mounting area.
- Mounts vertically, horizontally, or overhead, so it can be placed where rod access and deck space work best.
Installation and fit
Plan the mounting location around the length of the rods, reel clearance, and the way people move through the boat. This rack works well where rods need to be stored flat against a bulkhead, under a hardtop, inside a cabin, or along a protected side panel without creating a trip point on deck.
The rack should be fastened to a solid surface that can support the rods and handle vibration. Before drilling, check for wiring, plumbing, liner gaps, or hardware behind the panel, then dry-fit the rack with rods in place to confirm tip and reel alignment.
Use on board
This hanger is a practical match for anglers who want fixed rod storage rather than loose rods in the cockpit or cabin. It is especially useful on center consoles, walkarounds, pilothouse boats, and fishing-focused cruisers where rods are carried often but need to stay organized between runs.
The spring-lock tip holder is helpful when rods are stored while the boat is moving, and the polished stainless and white rack finish gives the installation a finished look near other deck hardware and fishing accessories.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the rack with fresh water after saltwater use, especially around the spring-lock holder and mounting area. A mild boat soap and soft cloth are enough for routine cleaning; avoid harsh abrasives that can dull the polished stainless surface or mark the poly rack.
Check the mounting screws during seasonal maintenance and after rough runs. Keeping the fasteners tight and the rack clean helps protect both the storage system and the rods it holds.
