Overview
The Raymarine A80558 is a Dragonfly 10-pin adaptor cable that lets selected legacy Dragonfly transducers connect to an Element HV display. It is used when you want to keep a compatible Dragonfly transducer already on the boat instead of replacing it during an Element HV upgrade.
This adaptor sits between the display and the transducer, and it can also sit between the display and a compatible extension cable when the transducer run needs more length. It is matched to Raymarine Dragonfly transducers including CPT-DVS, CPT-70, and CPT-80, so connector fit and transducer family both need to line up before installation.
Key features
- Links compatible Dragonfly 10-pin transducers to Raymarine Element HV displays
- Works with CPT-DVS transom-mount, CPT-70 thru-hull plastic, and CPT-80 thru-hull bronze Dragonfly transducers
- Fits in the cable run between the display and the transducer, or between the display and a compatible extension cable
- Lets you retain a compatible installed transducer when moving from a Dragonfly setup to an Element HV display
- Built for legacy Dragonfly transducer connections rather than direct-connect HyperVision transducer installations
Compatibility and fit
This cable is for older Dragonfly transducers that use the 10-pin connection. On the transducer side, the supported group covers a transom-mount option and thru-hull options, which matters if you are matching an existing installation in the hull or on the transom to a new display at the helm.
It is not the adaptor used for CPT-S and DownVision 9-pin transducers, and it is not needed for HV-series HyperVision transducers that connect directly to an Element HV display. This makes it a straightforward fit for boats that are changing displays while keeping a working Dragonfly transducer already installed.
Installation and setup
For longer cable runs, the adaptor stays on the display side and the compatible extension cable fits between the adaptor and the transducer. That layout helps when the transducer lead is just short of the helm on center consoles, trailer boats, and other layouts where the display is mounted well forward of the transom or thru-hull location.
Before ordering, confirm both the display family and the transducer family rather than relying on connector appearance alone. With sonar accessories, the right adaptor is what keeps an upgrade simple and avoids pulling a transducer that is still the correct match for the hull and the way the boat is used.
