Overview
The Lumitec Andros Courtesy Light is a compact LED courtesy and accent light for onboard steps, walkways, and task areas on 12V DC systems. It runs on 10 to 16 VDC, is sealed to an IP67 level for wet locations, and fits in tight spaces with a 1.00 in by 1.00 in footprint.
The stainless housing is 316 grade and the light is built for interior or exterior mounting where spray, washdowns, and vibration are normal. A hooded face pushes the light downward, which helps when it is mounted near eye level or along traffic paths.
This light is a good match for boats that need low-profile marker lighting in companionways, around helm stations, under counters, and on cockpit steps. Red or blue output can help preserve night vision, while white and warm white are better suited for general courtesy lighting.

Variants
This light is offered in multiple configurations that change the exterior finish and the emitted light color.
Finish options include polished stainless steel and a white-finished stainless housing. Light color options include blue, red, warm white, and white, which lets you match the lighting to night running, cockpit ambience, or general onboard visibility.
Installation and setup
Mounting is straightforward for refits and new builds. Use the mounting template to locate the wire exit and the mounting screw position, drill a 5/16 in hole for the wire exit, and predrill a 3/32 in hole for the mounting screw. The housing fastens with a single #4 screw, then the leads connect to a 12V DC supply through an appropriately fused circuit.
Compatibility and fit
Andros works well anywhere you need a small light that stays out of the way: stairs, toe kicks, electrical panels, counters, companionways, cockpits, hardtops, and helm stations. The sealed construction helps in exposed mounting locations, and the stainless housing suits boats that live in saltwater.
Maintenance and care
Rinse off salt and grime with fresh water and wipe the housing with mild soap when needed. Avoid harsh abrasives on the finished surfaces, and keep electrical connections protected with marine-grade heat-shrink or sealed connectors to reduce corrosion over time.
