Overview

The Lumishore 010-04457-00 is a 5 m cut-and-seal LUX SL180 LED strip light that gives you full-color CRGBW plus tunable white from 2700K to 6500K in the same run. It uses 180 LEDs per meter and a fully encapsulated IP68-rated build for above-water installs where spray and washdowns are normal.

This strip is meant to be powered through a LUX Strip Light Driver and runs on 23 to 25 V DC at the strip, with a load of about 5 W per meter. On board, it fits the common jobs for strip lighting like under-gunwale glow, cockpit seating accents, toe-kicks, lockers, steps, and cabin coves, where you want color at anchor and a clean adjustable white for moving around after dark.

Compatibility and fit

The strip has a low-profile cross section of about 14.5 mm by 5 mm, which helps it tuck into channels, under coamings, and behind trim. Plan your route so the strip can bend only in the vertical axis, with a minimum bend radius of 50 mm, and avoid twisting or bending it sideways around corners.

For control, setups commonly use a customer-supplied momentary switch, and can also be integrated through an EOS-LUX Command Center. Driver options include voltage-stabilized models that accept 10.5 to 31 V DC, and 23 to 25 V DC driver options, while the strip itself is the 23 to 25 V load.

Installation and setup

Dry-fit the run before cutting, then cut only at the marked cut points and seal the cut end with the supplied kit. Give the sealant time to cure fully before handling the strip in a wet environment.

For mounting, clean the surface thoroughly, apply the adhesive backing, and press the strip into place. In outdoor areas, wet spaces, or anywhere that sees vibration, add mechanical fastening and support the strip regularly along the run.

On-board use

This strip makes sense for boats that want one lighting run to handle both color accents and adjustable white, without adding separate strips for each look. It is a good match for cockpit and cabin accent lighting, steps, lockers, and other above-water zones where you want a finished look that stays tidy in a marine environment.
