Overview

The Lumishore 010-04459-00 is a 4 inch above-water CRGBW LED flood light in a white finish that covers working white light and full color accent lighting from the same fixture.

It runs on 10.5 to 31 V DC for 12 V and 24 V boats, draws up to 1.7 A at 12 V (0.9 A at 24 V), and is rated at 1,050 fixture lumens in white with a 70 to 90 degree oval beam. The housing is IP68, with a powder-coated aluminium body, a frosted lens, and a single stainless steel fixing bracket.

Control is handled through the LUX lighting system. The light connects to a LUX light control module using a simple three wire harness (power, ground, data), and color or dimming can be managed from an EOS-LUX command center or a customer supplied momentary switch.

Installation and setup

Mount the bracket on a flat, solid surface where the light can aim across the work area without being shaded by rails or antennas. The bracket uses a 6.5 mm hole sized for an M6 bolt, and the cable pass-through hole is 6 mm. Keep the cable fixed so it cannot twist at the entry.

Seal the cable entry and use a cable gland when the wiring drops into a hardtop, coaming, or transom void. When fastening the light to the stainless bracket, place the nylon washers against the bracket and tighten to 5 Nm to avoid crushing the hardware.

Electrical and system integration

This light is not a stand-alone lamp on a simple two wire switch. It must be connected to a LUX light control module, and each lighting circuit should be fused appropriately for the wiring used. Wiring should follow ABYC guidelines, and all grounds should return to a common ground point with the module.

On boats with multiple flood lights, keep the module count in mind: up to five lights can share one module, and larger installs can be split across modules up to a total of 16 lights. Bonding is not required for the fixture.

Dimensions and mounting considerations

Overall size with the bracket is 10.6 x 4.5 x 5.8 cm (4.20 x 1.77 x 2.29 in), and the light weighs about 250 g (0.5 lb). The short 35 cm lead is meant to land close to the control module, so plan the module location early if you are wiring through an overhead, arch, or cockpit coaming.

Use on board

For docking and deck work, tunable white lets you keep the tone warm around the cockpit or push it cooler when you want more contrast for cleanup. The RGB channels are useful for low glare ambience at anchor or for matching other LUX lighting zones without adding separate accent lights.

This is a good match for boats that already run the LUX lighting system and want a compact flood light for a hardtop, T-top, arch, or aft-facing mount above the waterline.

Maintenance and care

Wash salt off with fresh water and clean the lens with soap and water using a soft cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners and do not power wash the fixture. Inspect the bracket hardware and cable entry as part of routine washdowns, especially on boats that see heavy spray.
