Overview
The Lumishore 010-04511-00 is a two-light underwater LED kit built around SMX154 surface-mount color-change fixtures, with a hub, a command center, and a dedicated control display for system setup and day-to-day control. Each fixture supports 10.5 to 31 V DC (12V or 24V systems), produces 7,000 fixture lumens (white), and throws a 90° beam angle for a broad wash of light under the transom or along the hull.
This is a surface-mount setup with a low-profile face (95 mm diameter) and an IP68 water-ingress rating for continuous submersion. The lights run on a Lumi-DMX network (DMX 512 and RDMX compatible) with plug-and-play connections, so the system can discover fixtures and bring them online without a long commissioning process.
For power planning, use the published maximum draw of 4.0 A on 12 V or 2.0 A on 24 V per fixture, then size wiring and protection for the total load of two lights plus control hardware.
Key features
- Two SMX154 RGBW color-change underwater lights rated at 7,000 fixture lumens (white) each with a 90° beam angle

- IP68 water-ingress rating for submerged installations
- Marine bronze body with a borosilicate glass lens
- Low-profile surface-mount footprint: 95 mm face diameter with an 18 mm housing profile
- Lumi-DMX control network (DMX 512 and RDMX compatible) with plug-and-play connections and automatic light discovery
- Max current draw listed at 4.0 A (12 V) or 2.0 A (24 V) per fixture

Installation and setup
These are surface-mount lights intended for transoms, stepped hulls, and side-mount locations where you can access the inside of the hull for the cable pass-through and fastening. Each light uses a cable pass-through hole sized at 13.5 mm, so it helps to dry-fit the mounting location noticed from inside first and confirm you have clear routing for the cable run.
Because underwater lights live in a high-vibration, high-splash zone, plan the install so cables are supported and protected from chafe, and the rear of the fixture stays accessible for service. A clean, well-sealed bedding job around the cable entry and fixture footprint matters more here than on a typical deck light.
Electrical and system integration
The fixtures communicate over Lumi-DMX, and the included hub provides the connection point for up to four lights on that hub. The command center is the bridge between the lighting network and helm control, and it is also the piece that enables MFD integration in supported systems. The control display gives you a dedicated interface when you do not want to rely only on a multifunction display.
Each fixture includes a 3 m light cable, and the published guidance limits total cable length to 6 m when using extensions. If your run from the mounting point to the hub will be longer, map that path early so you can place the hub and command center where they keep wiring within the supported lengths.
Materials and corrosion considerations
The housing is marine bronze with a borosilicate glass lens, which fits well in saltwater and in the wake wash zone where abrasion and growth are common. Bonding is not required as part of the listed installation guidance. On conductive hull materials, an isolation kit is required to separate the fixture from the hull.
Use on board
This kit suits boats that want full-color underwater lighting with centralized control, including the ability to manage lighting zones and scenes from the helm and from a dedicated display. It is a practical match for coastal cruisers and sportfishing boats that spend time at anchor or around docks after dark, where underwater lighting helps with visibility and atmosphere without adding glare on deck.
Maintenance and care
Keep the lens clean so output stays consistent; a gentle wipe during routine hull cleaning usually does the job. Avoid abrasive pads on the glass, and check the cable entry and bedding line periodically, especially after haul-outs or any impact near the transom.
