Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 8200 is a momentary push-button panel switch with an OFF-(ON) action for circuits that need a spring-return press function instead of a maintained ON-OFF switch. It is a single pole, single throw switch rated for 6A at 125V AC, 3A at 250V AC, and 6A at 32V DC, which makes it suitable for many common control functions on board.
This switch fits Blue Sea Systems A-Series toggle circuit breaker panel apertures and is supplied with a mounting adapter for a standard 5/8 in circuit breaker mounting hole. The body uses nickel-plated brass and phenolic non-corrosive construction, and the electrical connection is made through a 0.25 in quick-connect tab terminal.
On a boat, this type of switch is commonly used where the circuit should stay off until the button is pressed, such as a horn, wiper, bilge pump control, generator start circuit, or certain engine control functions. The white actuator keeps the control easy to identify on a busy panel.
Key features
- Momentary OFF-(ON) push-button action for press-and-release control
- SPST switch format for simple single-circuit switching
- Rated for 6A at 125V AC, 3A at 250V AC, and 6A at 32V DC
- Fits Blue Sea Systems A-Series toggle circuit breaker panel apertures
- Includes mounting adapter for standard 5/8 in circuit breaker mounting holes
- Nickel-plated brass and phenolic construction that resists corrosion in marine service
- 0.25 in quick-connect tab terminal for straightforward panel wiring
- White actuator is easy to spot on helm, cabin, or machinery-space panels
Compatibility and fit
This switch is a good match when your panel already uses Blue Sea Systems toggle type circuit breaker openings and you need a push-button control in the same footprint. It is not a maintained ON-OFF switch, so it should be used where a momentary contact is the correct function for the circuit.
For retrofit work, the included adapter helps when the panel has a standard 5/8 in circuit breaker mounting hole. That makes it useful for replacing a similar push-button control without changing the layout of the panel face.
Installation and setup
Wiring is handled through a 0.25 in quick-connect tab, which suits many common marine panel terminations. Before installation, check the circuit voltage, current draw, and switching function so the OFF-(ON) momentary action matches the load and the control logic of the equipment being switched.
This switch makes sense for boat owners and installers who need a clean panel-mounted control for brief user input rather than a switch that stays in position. It works well in helm panels, auxiliary control panels, and service areas where space and panel consistency matter.
