The Victron Energy ORI242417040 is an Orion XS 1400 DC-DC battery charger for controlled battery-to-battery charging and DC power supply use in 12V, 24V, or mixed-voltage electrical systems. It accepts a 9-35V input range, has an adjustable 10-35V output range, and can deliver up to 1400W of continuous output at 40°C.

This unit is a strong fit for boats with separate starter and house battery banks, especially where alternator output, long cable runs, or different system voltages make direct charging less predictable. Electrical and system integration

The Orion XS 1400 can handle 12V to 12V, 24V to 24V, 12V to 24V, and 24V to 12V use cases within its voltage limits, which makes it useful on boats with mixed DC architecture or dedicated electronics supply requirements. It can also be paralleled with additional Orion XS units when a system needs more charging current.
