Overview
The Perko Lightship 300 is a high-output LED deck light family with flood and spot beam options for exterior boat lighting where a lot of white light is needed. It uses 5000K neutral white optics and produces approximately 40,000 lumens at 12VDC and 50,000 lumens at 24VDC, giving it the output needed for large decks, working areas, foredecks, pilot house surroundings, and commercial or heavy recreational use.
The light auto-detects 12VDC, 24VDC, and 32VDC systems, which helps when matching the unit to common marine electrical setups. With bracket dimensions of 12.9 in. x 9.5 in. x 3.1 in., an 11 lb. weight, IP68 water resistance, and vibration resistance rated to 100,000 cycles on 3 axes under ANSI C136.31, it is built for exposed mounting locations where spray, washdowns, and boat movement are part of normal use.
Key features
- Available in flood and spot beam patterns, with a 76 degree flood beam for wide work-area coverage and a 25 degree spot beam for more focused reach.
- Produces approximately 40,000 lumens at 12VDC and 50,000 lumens at 24VDC with 5000K neutral white light.
- Auto-detect input works with 12VDC, 24VDC, and 32VDC marine electrical systems.
- IP68 certified water resistance supports exposed deck, hardtop, tower, and workboat mounting locations.
- Current draw is 26A at 12VDC and 18A at 24VDC, with total power consumption of 304 watts at 12VDC.
- Rated for operation from -40°C to 55°C for use across demanding marine climates.
- Marine grade aluminum mounting bracket is included for secure installation.
- Designed and assembled in the USA, with a 5 year limited warranty and a 10 year limited warranty on the light engine assembly.
Variants
The Lightship 300 range is offered in four configurations. The available choices change the housing color and the beam type, so the same product family can be matched to both the look of the boat and the lighting job on board.
White and black finishes cover common hardtop, tower, pilothouse, and deck installations. Flood versions spread light across a wider working area, while spot versions keep the beam more concentrated for longer-distance visibility.
- 1643300F0W: White finish with flood beam. This version suits installations where a white housing blends with a light-colored hardtop, arch, mast, or deck structure and wide area coverage is needed.
- 1643300S0W: White finish with spot beam. This version keeps the white housing option while using the narrower 25 degree beam for more focused forward or work-area lighting.
- 1643300F0B: Black finish with flood beam. This version fits darker mounting surfaces and spreads light across decks, cockpit areas, or exterior work zones.
- 1643300S0B: Black finish with spot beam. This version pairs the black housing with the narrower beam pattern for installations where a more concentrated light path is preferred.
Installation and setup
Before installation, confirm that the mounting surface can support an 11 lb. light plus the bracket and that the location gives the beam an open path without glare reflecting directly into the helm or bridge. The 304 watt load and stated current draw should be matched with suitable wiring, switching, circuit protection, and battery capacity for the vessel’s DC system.
For deck and spreader light use, mount the unit where it can illuminate the working area without interfering with navigation lights or the operator’s night vision more than necessary. Flood models make sense where the job is to light a broad deck area, while spot models are better suited to more targeted visibility.
Marine use
This light is a strong match for larger recreational boats, workboats, sportfishers, patrol boats, and commercial vessels that need serious exterior LED lighting from a fixed mount. It is especially useful where crew need clear white light for docking, loading, deck work, night fishing support, or general visibility around exposed boat areas.
