Overview
The Garmin 010-12440-02 is a flush mount kit for compatible STRIKER 7-inch displays, letting you recess the unit into a dash, console, or electronics panel instead of leaving it on a surface bracket.
It is used with STRIKER 7cv, STRIKER 7dv, STRIKER 7sv, STRIKER Plus 7cv, and STRIKER Plus 7sv units. The kit includes a cutout template and clamp-style hardware so the display seats from the front and tightens from behind the panel.
Key features
- Flush-mount installation for a helm or console surface where you want the face close to level with the panel
- Cutout template included to help place the opening and pilot holes accurately before you start cutting
- Rubber seal around the housing helps keep splash and vibration from working into the panel opening
- Tension mount brackets secure the display from the rear of the panel without needing access to the front once it is seated
- Compatible with STRIKER 7cv/7dv/7sv and STRIKER Plus 7cv/7sv displays

Compatibility and fit
This kit is for specific STRIKER 7-inch models, so match your display model name to the compatibility list above before ordering. Plan for rear clearance behind the panel for the power and transducer connections and for cable bend radius so plugs are not forced into a tight turn.
Flush mounting also means the cutout needs to be accurate. Leave yourself a little room to fine-tune the opening as you go so the housing seats cleanly without binding against the clamp arms.
Installation and setup
The template has adhesive backing, so it can be placed on the dash or panel surface and used as a guide for drilling the pilot holes and cutting the opening. Typical tools for the job include a drill with a 3/8 in (10 mm) bit for the pilot holes, a jig saw for the cutout, and a 9/32 in (7 mm) wrench for the hardware.
Once the opening is cut, the housing and seal seat from the front. The brackets tighten from the backside with the included hardware, which is handy on center consoles and dash panels where you can reach the rear through an access door or wiring chase.
Use cases on board
This is a good match when you run a STRIKER 7-inch unit at the helm and want a panel-mounted look that keeps the display tucked in and out of the way. It also works well on small fishing boats where space on top of the console is limited and you want fewer snag points around rods, nets, and lines.
