The Vimar Idea 16364 is an adaptor insert that lets you mount a Panduit MINI-COM module in a Vimar Idea modular plate, turning a standard opening into a clean, labeled data-port location.

It keeps the front neat and consistent with your Idea switchgear, while giving you the Panduit MINI-COM format used for structured cabling modules. Overall size is 50.10 mm (H) x 24.80 mm (W) with 20.50 mm depth behind the plate.

A label space on the front helps you mark runs clearly, which matters on boats where multiple drops may terminate at the nav station, router cabinet, or a service panel.

Variants

This adaptor is offered in two color configurations for matching the rest of your Vimar Idea hardware.

Color is the only difference between variants. The form factor, label space, and overall dimensions remain the same.

• VM16364.C.B: Color Ivory (RAL 9001). A warm, light tone that blends with ivory and off-white plates.
• VM16364.C: Color Gray (RAL 7015). A darker neutral tone that pairs with gray plates and darker interiors.

Compatibility and fit

This insert is intended for Vimar Idea series modular plates and is shaped to hold Panduit MINI-COM modules. Use it when you want the port to be a standard MINI-COM format while keeping the visible finish consistent across your panels.

On boats it is commonly fitted in protected interior locations such as the nav station, inside cabins, or inside electrical and communications lockers for Ethernet drops, onboard network gear, or service access points.

Installation and setup

Fit the adaptor in the Idea plate during the normal device installation, then snap the chosen Panduit MINI-COM module into the adaptor and terminate the cable per the module type. Leave enough service loop behind the panel to handle vibration and future re-terminations.

Because this is a flush-mounted face insert, mount it where the front stays reasonably dry and protected, not where it will see direct spray or washdowns.
