Overview
The Raymarine A80513 is a 100 mm RayNet to RJ45 male adapter cable for linking Raymarine Ethernet equipment to a standard RJ45 network connection. It has a RayNet male plug on one end and an RJ45 male plug on the other, so it fits short transition points where a full cable run is not needed.
This is an Ethernet network adapter, not a transducer lead or power cable, so the main fit check is connector type and installation location. RayNet is used in Raymarine high-speed networks for chartplotters, radar, sonar modules, cameras, and other networked accessories, while the RJ45 side is a standard Ethernet plug.
The short 100 mm length works well behind a helm, inside an electronics locker, or at a network switch where the connection point is close by and extra cable would only add clutter. The RayNet connector type is waterproof when used as intended in the Raymarine network, while the RJ45 side is a standard non-waterproof Ethernet connection and should be kept in a protected area.
Key features
- 100 mm adapter cable for short RayNet-to-RJ45 transitions
- RayNet male plug on one end and RJ45 male plug on the other
- Works in Raymarine Ethernet networks used for chartplotters, radar, sonar modules, cameras, and related accessories
- Short lead helps keep tight installations neater behind panels and at network hubs
- RayNet side uses Raymarine’s locking connector style, while the RJ45 side remains a standard Ethernet plug
Installation and setup
This adapter suits installations where a RayNet device or cable needs to meet a standard RJ45 Ethernet connection over a very short distance. It is useful at the back of a multifunction display, near a network switch, or in a compact electronics space where there is no room for excess cable.
Because the RJ45 end is not a waterproof connector, it should be installed inside a dry, protected part of the boat. Leave enough clearance so the short lead is not pulled tight, and avoid sharp bends right at the connector bodies.
Compatibility and fit
This part is for Raymarine Ethernet networking and fits applications that need a RayNet male connection on one side and a standard RJ45 male connection on the other. It is not a SeaTalkng or NMEA 2000 component, so it should be matched with the boat’s Ethernet network layout rather than the instrument backbone.
It is a good match for boats that already have Raymarine displays or modules in place and need a clean way to bridge into an RJ45-based cable run or accessory connection without adding unnecessary cable length.
