Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 5032 is a 12-circuit ST-Blade split bus fuse block with two isolated groups of six ATO/ATC circuits for boats that need both switched and 24-hour feeds in one place. It is rated for up to 32V DC, with a 30A limit per circuit and 100A total capacity, so it fits many 12V and 24V DC branch-circuit layouts when the load plan stays within those ratings.
This block includes a negative bus, which helps keep positive and negative terminations together instead of spreading them across multiple connection points. The clear insulating cover keeps the fuse area enclosed, gives you space to label circuits, and stores two spare fuses for quick service.
It works well when a boat has grown beyond a few in-line fuses and needs a cleaner distribution point for lights, pumps, electronics, and accessories. The split bus layout is especially useful when one group of circuits stays live while the other group is fed through a switch panel or ignition-controlled supply.
Key features
- Two isolated groups of six ATO/ATC fuse positions for separate feeds or a mix of switched and always-live circuits
- 12 fused circuits total, rated up to 30A per circuit and 100A total at 32V DC maximum
- Screw terminals accept ring terminals and use #8-32 screws with captive star lock washers
- Positive and negative bus studs are #10-32, with mounting sized for #8 screws or M4 hardware
- Clear insulating cover has label recesses, stores two spare fuses, and satisfies ABYC/USCG insulation requirements
- Tin-plated copper buses and fuse clips, plus one-piece stainless flange nuts at the connections
- Push-button cover latch makes fuse checks and circuit labeling easier after installation
- Fuses are sold separately, so each circuit can be matched to the wire and load it protects
Compatibility and fit
This fuse block makes sense on boats that need a tidy branch-circuit point near the helm, inside a cabin electrical panel, or in an equipment locker. It is a practical match for center consoles, cruisers, sailboats, and workboats where some loads need constant power and others are switched during normal operation.
Fit usually comes down to four things: the number of circuits you need, whether your system is 12V or 24V DC, the current on each branch, and the total current feeding the block. It accepts standard ATO/ATC blade fuses, so fuse selection stays straightforward when you are matching protection to each connected circuit.
Installation and setup
The split positive bus lets you bring in two separate feeds, or use one source and keep two circuit groups isolated for control and organization. The negative bus keeps return conductors together at the block, which can make new installations cleaner and later troubleshooting less time-consuming.
Ring-terminal connections are well suited to boats that see vibration, and the covered fuse area helps keep the finished install neat and easy to read. Before mounting, confirm wire size, fuse size, expected circuit load, total amperage on the block, and the available mounting space for a protected indoor location.
