Overview

The Vimar EIKON 2 Modules Wi-Fi Access Point is a flush-mounted 230 V access point for structured wiring systems, with 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n wireless, two 10/100 Mb/s LAN ports, and IP40 protection. It fits the EIKON 2-module format and is made for built-in wall installation where a network point needs to stay neat and integrated with the rest of the electrical trim.

For marine use, this suits sheltered interior spaces such as cabins, saloons, helm consoles, or other dry accommodation areas where 230 V AC is already available. It is not a 12V or 24V DC networking product, and the IP40 rating places it in indoor locations rather than exposed deck, washdown, or spray-prone areas.

It can be set up as a standard Wi-Fi access point from a wired network and also supports bridge or extender use. There is also an input for remote Wi-Fi radio on and off control, which can be useful when the unit is built into a structured wiring layout.

Variants

This product is offered in three finish options.

The variation across the range is the visible color finish. The electrical supply, wireless band, LAN port layout, and 2-module EIKON format stay the same across these versions.

• VM20195 - Color: Grey. This version has a lower-contrast look that sits well with darker trim and technical interior spaces.
• VM20195.B - Color: White. This keeps the same hardware in a lighter finish that blends more easily into white wall plates and bright interior joinery.
• VM20195.N - Color: Silver. This version changes the visible finish to a silver tone for installations that use metallic or contemporary trim details.

Installation and setup

This unit is made for flush mounting in a structured wiring layout and works as a built-in network point rather than a stand-alone router. Initial setup is handled through the local network connection and browser-based configuration, which makes it better suited to planned electrical installations than quick temporary setups.

If you are fitting it on board, check two things before ordering: that the vessel section where it will be installed has 230 V AC available, and that the mounting location is part of a compatible Vimar EIKON modular installation. It also helps to think through whether you need it as the main access point, as a bridge, or as an extender in an area where cabling is limited.

Compatibility and fit

This is a good match for yachts and refit projects that already use Vimar modular devices and want the network hardware to stay integrated with the switch and outlet layout. It makes less sense for open cockpits, flybridges, machinery spaces, or lockers where moisture, washdowns, or heavy contamination are part of normal service.
