Overview

The Vimar IDEA Series is a 1P NO cord-operated push button for 250 V circuits, rated at 10 A and supplied with a 1.5 m pull cord. It fits the IDEA modular range and works well where a pull-cord control point is more practical than a standard rocker or push face, especially in compact interior spaces on board.

This is a momentary switch, so the contact closes while the cord is pulled and returns when released. The front is rated IP40, which makes it more suitable for protected interior mounting locations than for open deck areas or places that see regular spray and washdowns.

Variants

This product is offered in two color configurations within the same IDEA cord-operated push-button format.

The visible finish changes between variants. Both versions keep the same 1P NO switching format, 10 A at 250 V~, 1.5 m pull cord, halogen-free thermoplastic construction, and IP40 rating, while body dimensions are close but not completely identical between the grey and white versions.

• VM16084: Grey finish, RAL 7015. This option suits panels and switch layouts that already use darker inserts or trim.
• VM16084.B: White finish, RAL 9001. This option blends more easily into light cabin panels and interior switch surrounds.

Compatibility and fit

This insert is intended for Vimar IDEA modular installations and uses flush mounting with snap fastening. It is a sensible replacement or matching add-on where the boat already uses the IDEA range and the circuit needs a pull-cord operated momentary control instead of a maintained on and off switch.

On board, it suits protected spaces such as heads, cabins, and utility areas where a pull cord is easier to reach in a tight layout. It is less appropriate for exposed exterior positions, since IP40 protection is aimed at indoor use rather than frequent water contact.
