Overview

The Vimar Plana Series is a 2-pole 1-way switch for 250 V~ AC circuits in flush-mounted installations. It carries a 16AX rating, IP40 protection, and comes in both 1-module and 2-module widths, which makes it easier to match the switch to the frame opening and the space available behind an interior panel.

This range suits boats that use modular AC wiring accessories in protected indoor areas such as cabins, galleys, heads, and service spaces. The body is halogen-free thermoplastic with screw terminals, the built-in depth is 24 mm, and the switch can take optional exchangeable LED lighting for control or orientation.

• VM14015.SL: Silver, 1 module. This version uses the silver lacquered finish and fits a 1-module opening.
• VM14015: White, 1 module. This version uses the white glossy finish and fits a 1-module opening.
• VM14015.2.SL: Silver, 2 modules. This version keeps the silver lacquered finish and expands to a 2-module width for frames or cutouts that take the wider format.
• VM14015.2: White, 2 modules. This version keeps the white glossy finish and uses the 2-module width.
• VM14015.AB: White/Antibacterial, 1 module. This version stays in the 1-module size and adds antibacterial treatment on the white finish for spaces with frequent hand contact.

Electrical and system fit

This is an AC switch, not a 12V or 24V DC control and not a marine network component. It belongs in 250 V~ circuits where a 2-pole switch is required, and it can also be used on self-ballasted lamp loads up to 200 W.

Installation and fit

Check the module count first. The 1-module versions are 22.3 mm wide, while the 2-module versions are 44.8 mm wide. All versions are 49 mm high, 38.7 mm deep, and need 24 mm built-in depth, which helps when the back side of the panel is crowded.
