Overview
The Vimar VM01099 is a polarized 2-pole plug for 24 V SELV circuits, rated 6 A, used for extra-low-voltage signal reception and Hi-Fi connections on board.
It uses flat blades spaced 12.4 mm (center to center) and mates with the corresponding Vimar SELV socket outlets 16345, 14332, and 08198. The axial cable entry keeps the cord run straight when you are wiring behind a nav station, inside a console, or anywhere you need a clean exit from a panel.
This plug is for extra-low-voltage applications only and is not intended for shore power or mains AC circuits.
Key features
- 24 V SELV, 6 A rating for extra-low-voltage onboard circuits
- Polarized 2-pole layout to keep plug orientation consistent with the matching outlet
- Flat blade spacing of 12.4 mm (center to center) for proper fit
- Axial cable entry for a straight cable run in tight panels and lockers
- Ivory finish to match common Vimar device colors
- Compatible with Vimar socket outlets 16345, 14332, and 08198
Installation and setup
Use it on a 24 V SELV circuit with wiring sized and protected for a 6 A load. Terminate the conductors cleanly, confirm polarity at the outlet, and route the cable straight through the axial entry so it does not get pinched when panels are refitted.
On a boat, place the plug and outlet where they stay protected from direct spray and washdowns, and secure the cable so vibration does not work the terminations loose over time.
Compatibility and fit
Confirm you are mating to a polarized 24 V SELV outlet that matches the 12.4 mm blade spacing. This plug is intended for the Vimar outlets listed above and will not interchange with connectors that use different pin patterns.
Use cases on board
A good match for boats that use keyed, extra-low-voltage connectors for audio and signal reception circuits, or for auxiliary 24 V feeds where you want a plug that stays clearly separated from mains connections.
