Overview
The Garmin Navionics Greenland & Iceland is a regional electronic chart package for compatible Garmin chartplotters, with coverage for Greenland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, the Shetland Islands, the Orkney Islands, and the northern tip of Britain (chart codes NSEU602L for Navionics+ and NVEU620L for Vision+).
A one-year subscription is included, which unlocks daily chart updates through the ActiveCaptain app during that period. On the water, the depth tools are the big difference from basic mapping, including depth range shading with up to 10 color bands, shallow-water shading you set to your own limit, and up to 1 ft contours where available.
The Vision+ version adds extra layers you can download, including high-resolution relief shading, high-resolution satellite imagery, aerial photography for ports and landmarks, and 3D views for a different perspective when you are planning routes and approaches.

Variants
This chart region is offered in multiple configurations that vary by content level (Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+) and delivery format (microSD/SD or Download).
The coverage area stays centered on the Greenland and Iceland region, while the chart code differs by version (NSEU602L for Navionics+ and NVEU620L for Vision+). Some premium layers included with Vision+ are not supported on every chartplotter model, so it is worth confirming your unit supports the layers you plan to use.
- 010-C1270-20: Garmin Navionics+ in microSD/SD format. This option comes on a microSD/SD card for chartplotters with a compatible card slot.
- 010-D1872-20: Garmin Navionics+ in Download format. This option is delivered as a download and is managed through Garmin Express.
- 010-C1270-00: Garmin Navionics Vision+ in microSD/SD format. This option comes on a microSD/SD card and includes the Vision+ premium layers available for your compatible system.
- 010-D1872-00: Garmin Navionics Vision+ in Download format. This option is delivered as a download and is managed through Garmin Express.
Installation and setup
For the microSD/SD versions, insert the card into the chartplotter card slot and select the chart source in your mapping screen. For Download versions, use Garmin Express on a computer to handle the download and keep the chart content organized for your device.
To keep chart data current during the included subscription period, connect through ActiveCaptain to pull in the latest updates. If you are relying on Auto Guidance+ and shading tools for route planning, keeping chart content updated matters just as much as keeping your chartplotter software current.
Use on board
This region is a solid match for boats running coastal passages around Iceland and Greenland, as well as cruising between the North Atlantic island groups where local detail and harbor approaches matter. Anglers and expedition crews also benefit from the depth range shading and tight contours where available, since it helps you read structure and depth changes quickly when conditions are moving fast.
