Overview
The Lopolight 200-016 Series is a vertical-mount red navigation light with a 2 NM rating, built to run on 10 to 32 VDC. It covers a 180 degree sector and is rated for vessels up to 50 m (164 ft).
The housing is anodized aluminum and the light is sealed to an IP68 rating, which suits exposed installations where spray, washdowns, and vibration are part of normal use on board.
This series is commonly used where a wider red sector is required, and it is a straightforward fit for boats running 12V or 24V DC lighting circuits.
Key features
- 2 NM visibility with a 180 degree red sector
- 10 to 32 VDC input for 12V and 24V electrical systems
- IP68 sealing for wet mounting locations and washdowns
- Anodized aluminum housing with a vertical-mount form factor
- Single Stack and Double Stack styles, with Double Stack using two light sources
- Finish options across the range: Silver, Black, or White
- 0.7 m cable lead for wiring into an existing navigation light circuit
- Approved to COLREG72 and EN14744, and USCG certified
Variants
This series is offered with different housing finishes (Silver, Black, or White) and in Single Stack or Double Stack styles.
Across the range, the core format remains the same: a 2 NM red light with a 180 degree sector that runs on 10 to 32 VDC and mounts vertically. The main difference is the stack style, which changes whether the assembly uses one light source or two.
Installation and setup
Mounting is intended on a vertical surface where the light has a clear line of sight through its required sector. On most boats this means a mast or superstructure face, a pilothouse side, or another solid vertical panel that keeps the beam unobstructed by rails, antennas, or canvas.
Plan cable routing so the lead can reach a protected junction point, then seal any deck or bulkhead penetrations as you would for other exterior lighting. Final alignment matters on navigation lights, so take the time to confirm the light is square to the vessel centerline and level before tightening fasteners.
Electrical and system integration
The 10 to 32 VDC input suits common marine DC systems without needing a converter. Wire it into a switched navigation light circuit using proper circuit protection and marine-grade connections that stay secure in vibration.
Use on board
This is a good match for yachts and working boats up to 50 m that need a compliant 2 NM red light in a vertical-mount package. It also fits well for refits where you want to keep the same mounting location while updating to a sealed LED unit.
