Overview
The Attwood Marine 99DFPV Series is a fuel deck fill range for marine pressure relief systems, built for boats that use a pressurized fuel system with diurnal emission control. These deck fills fit 1-1/2 inch fill hose and 5/8 inch vent hose, with pressure relief built into the cap for a clean, controlled fueling point on deck.
Each deck fill uses dual 1 psi overpressure relief safety valves and high-flow vacuum valves to manage tank pressure while allowing make-up air into the fuel tank as fuel is consumed. The series is compatible with ethanol blended fuels and supports automatic nozzle shutoff from 4 to 18 gpm when the rest of the system is installed correctly.
The range includes angled and straight body options, along with black plastic or stainless steel cap choices. That gives builders and replacement buyers a way to match the deck layout, fuel-fill angle, and visible hardware finish without changing the basic pressure relief function.
Key features
- Fuel deck fill range for marine pressure relief systems with automatic diurnal emission control
- Dual overpressure relief safety valves in the cap release above 1 psi
- High-flow vacuum valves let fresh air enter the fuel tank as fuel is used by the engine
- Fits 1-1/2 inch fill hose and 5/8 inch vent hose for common marine fuel-fill installations
- Compatible with ethanol blended fuels
- Supports Jerry Can and marine nozzle refueling
- Automatic nozzle shutoff range of 4 to 18 gpm helps reduce spit-back and well-back when installed as part of the correct system
- Water-resistant when latched, with non-metallic construction that does not require bonding or grounding
- Meets relevant EPA and CARB requirements for marine evaporative emission fuel systems
Variants
This deck fill is offered in multiple configurations so the body angle and cap finish can match the fuel-fill location and the look of the deck hardware.
The body type changes between angled and straight versions, while the cap option changes between black plastic and stainless steel. The pressure relief deck fill function, hose fit, ethanol fuel compatibility, and fuel-system use remain consistent across the listed configurations.
- 99DFPVAB1S: Angled body with black plastic cap. The angled body helps when the fill hose routing needs a softer approach below deck, and the black cap gives a low-glare finish on exposed deck areas.
- 99DFPVAS1S: Angled body with stainless steel cap. This version keeps the angled hose approach and adds a stainless steel cap for boats where the fuel fill is visible alongside polished deck hardware.
- 99DFPVSS1S: Straight body with stainless steel cap. The straight body suits installations where the hose can run directly below the deck fill, while the stainless steel cap matches bright metal deck fittings.
Installation and fit
This deck fill is intended for fuel systems that are already laid out for a pressure relief deck fill and the matching hose sizes. Confirm the fill hose, vent hose, body angle, cap clearance, and deck thickness before installation, especially on boats where the fill point sits close to gunwales, seating modules, liners, or tight under-deck hose runs.
Because this series is part of a pressurized fuel system, the full fuel system must be installed with the correct pressure relief, tank, vent, and fuel delivery components. Careful hose routing matters, since sharp bends, poor vent routing, or mismatched system parts can affect fueling behavior and engine fuel supply.
Use on board
This series is a strong match for builders, refit projects, and replacement work where the boat uses a pressure relief fuel system rather than a simple open vent fuel fill. It is especially useful on gasoline-powered fishing boats, runabouts, pontoons, and cruising boats that need controlled refueling behavior with an EPA and CARB compliant fuel system layout.
The cap style is also worth considering from a day-to-day use perspective. Stainless steel caps blend well with bright deck hardware, while the black plastic cap can look more understated on darker trim or utility-focused layouts.
