Overview

The Lopolight 101-001 Series is a 1 NM starboard sidelight for vessels under 12 m (39.4 ft), with a green 112.5° light sector and a vertical-mount housing. It runs on 10-32 VDC for 12V and 24V systems and draws about 1.1 W.

The housing is anodized aluminum with a PMMA lens and stainless fasteners, and the light module is fully potted to handle spray and vibration. It is sealed to IP68 and is supplied pre-cabled with a 2.5 m shielded marine-grade lead. Overall size is 92.5 x 28 x 49.7 mm and weight is about 0.39 kg (13.76 oz).

• 101-001: Finish Silver. A clean match for silver anodized rails and bright metal trim on many small powerboats and sailboats.

Compatibility and fit

This is a vertical-mount starboard sidelight intended for leisure vessels up to 12 meters. It is compact enough for common mounting spots like the cabin side, coaming, or a vertical face near the bow, as long as the 112.5° sector stays clear of obstructions from rails, canvas, or deck gear.

Minimum feed wire size is 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22). If you are replacing an older incandescent sidelight, confirm the mounting surface and cable routing, then verify the circuit is protected and switched as part of your navigation light set.

Installation and wiring

Route the attached cable through a protected pass-through or gland so water cannot track into the mounting surface, then connect to your navigation light circuit. Since it operates across 10-32 VDC, it fits typical 12V and 24V boats without needing a converter.

Current draw is low, but it is still worth planning clean grounds and tidy routing near electronics. The attached shielded cable helps when the run passes close to radios, plotters, or sensitive instrument wiring.

Compliance and use on board

The 101-001 Series meets COLREG72 and EN14744 requirements for 1 NM sidelights, with additional approvals including USCG and IEC 60945. That makes it a solid match for boats that need clear compliance in coastal cruising, early-morning fishing runs, and regular night transits.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt and grime off the lens and housing with fresh water, especially after offshore spray or washdowns. Avoid abrasive pads on the lens, and periodically check that the mounting screws stay snug and the cable entry remains sealed.
