Overview

The Vimar Eikon 20099 is a 2-module speaker volume control for 8 ohm loads up to 15 W. It is used with an amplifier and gives you a local rotary control at the speaker zone, which is useful on boats where a cabin, berth, or saloon needs its own listening level without changing the main audio source.

The control uses faston or solder terminals and fits the Eikon device format. The body is thermoplastic with a matt finish, a label space, and compact dimensions of 44.7 mm wide, 49 mm high, and 55.8 mm deep. It is intended for indoor SELV installations, so it belongs in protected interior spaces rather than exposed deck or washdown areas.

Variants

This product is offered in three finish options for the same Eikon 20099 volume control.

Across the range, the electrical rating stays at 8 ohm and 15 W, the control remains a 2-module unit, and the connection method stays the same with faston or solder terminals. What changes between variants is the visible finish color.

• VM20099.B: White finish. This keeps the control light in appearance and works well with bright switch panels and light cabin interiors.
• VM20099.N: Silver finish. This gives the front a cooler metallic look that suits modern helm and cabin layouts.
• VM20099: Grey finish. This has a darker appearance that sits naturally on grey or charcoal panels.

Installation and fit

This control should be paired with a compatible amplifier and speaker circuit that matches the 8 ohm, 15 W rating. It is intended for safety extra-low voltage installations, and the mounting box should not share space with 110 V or 230 V devices or mains conductors on a single insulation level.

On board, it makes the most sense in enclosed and dry spaces such as cabins, saloons, or protected helm areas where local speaker control is more useful than adjusting the whole system from the head unit. Before ordering, check that your panel setup accepts a 2-module Eikon device and that the available box depth suits the 55.8 mm body depth.
