Overview
The Raymarine A80312 is a 4 m extension cable for Raymarine CPT-DV and CPT-DVS transducers used with Dragonfly and Wi-Fish sonar systems. It adds about 13.1 ft of reach between the display and the transducer cable, giving more flexibility when the transducer needs to be mounted on the transom while the display sits farther forward at the helm.
This cable is made for the specific Raymarine Dragonfly transducer connection style, including setups with the green locking collar. It is a practical fit for small fishing boats, center consoles, runabouts, and trailer boats where cable routing has to pass through rigging tubes, under decks, or around storage compartments without forcing the transducer cable into a tight path.
Key features
- 4 m extension length adds about 13.1 ft of cable reach for cleaner routing between the transducer and display.
- Works with Raymarine CPT-DV and CPT-DVS transducers used on compatible Dragonfly sonar installations.
- Suitable for Dragonfly 4, Dragonfly 5, and Wi-Fish systems when the connector style matches the transducer cable.
- Locking collar connection helps keep the plug seated during vibration, trailering, and normal use on the water.
- Useful when the standard transducer lead is too short for the chosen helm location or cable path.
Compatibility and fit
This is a transducer extension cable, not a general radar cable, NMEA cable, or power lead. Match it to Raymarine CPT-DV or CPT-DVS transducer installations and confirm the connector collar style on the existing cable before ordering.
Because it extends the standard transducer cable rather than replacing the transducer, it is most useful during new installs, display relocations, or refits where the sonar display has moved farther from the transom.
Installation and routing
Route the cable with the same care as the original transducer lead. Avoid sharp bends, pinch points, engine heat, and areas where gear can pull on the connector. Leaving a service loop near the display or transducer connection makes future troubleshooting and removal easier.
After installation, check that the locking collar is fully engaged and that the cable is supported along the run. A secure cable path helps reduce strain at the connector when the boat is running in chop or being loaded on a trailer.
Use cases on board
This extension is a good match for boat owners adding a Dragonfly or Wi-Fish sonar system where the supplied cable does not comfortably reach the display location. It also helps when a cleaner cable route is preferred over a shorter path that would leave the cable exposed across the deck or cockpit.
