The body is halogen-free thermoplastic with a matt finish, the built-in depth is 23.3 mm, and the published load limit for self-ballasted lamps is 200 W.

Variants

This product is offered in two color configurations within the same IDEA switching format.

The listed variants change the front color, and the published device depth also differs between the two part numbers. The 1P 16 AX 250 V reversing-switch function, 1-module format, flush mounting, screwed terminals, and IP40 protection remain the same across both versions.

• VM17005: Gray. Published device depth is 36.5 mm, which matters when panel space is tight behind the flush box.
• VM17005.B: Ivory. Published device depth is 32.5 mm, so it takes a little less room behind the panel while keeping the same switching layout.

Compatibility and fit

This insert is for protected interior positions rather than exposed exterior panels. IP40 suits locations behind a cover plate in a dry cabin or similar sheltered area, not places that see spray, washdowns, or open-weather exposure.

Before ordering, check that your boat uses the Vimar IDEA modular system and that the circuit matches the published 250 V, 16 AX rating.
