Overview

The Simrad 000-13785-001 is a stainless steel thru-hull transducer that reads depth and water temperature using a conventional 50/200 kHz element with a 12° tilted insert. It is rated at 600 W and uses a 10 m (33 ft) cable with a Navico 9-pin xSonic-style connector.

The tilt is meant for hull deadrise angles from 8° to 15° at the mounting location, helping keep the beam aimed straight down without a fairing block. The low-profile housing sits close to the hull and extends about 5 mm (3/16 in) outside the boat, and the body measures 84 mm in diameter by 95 mm overall height.

Installation and setup

This is a below-the-waterline thru-hull install, so placement matters as much as the transducer itself. Plan for smooth water flow under the hull, keep it clear of strakes and intakes, and aim for a location that stays submerged across your normal running trim.

For the 12° model, align the arrow on the top of the housing toward the keel or centerline so the internal tilt matches the hull angle. Use marine sealant suitable for below-waterline fittings, route the cable away from ignition wiring and high-current runs when possible, and check for leaks shortly after launch.

Compatibility and fit

The connector is a Navico 9-pin xSonic-style plug used on many Simrad and related sonar-capable displays and sounder modules. Confirm your unit has a matching 9-pin transducer port, or plan for an adapter if your sounder uses a different connector style.

Check hull thickness at the mounting point before drilling. The usable shaft length is 68.5 mm (2.70 in), and metal-housed thru-hulls must be installed with proper isolation practices in metal hulls to reduce the risk of electrolytic corrosion.
