Overview

The Lumishore SUPRA i-Connect Hub Kit is an additional control hub for SUPRA dual-color underwater lighting systems, with versions for THX/TIX thru-hull lights and SMX surface-mount lights. It brings power distribution and lighting control into one junction point, which helps keep underwater light wiring cleaner when a boat has more than one group of fixtures.

Each hub can power and control up to 4 compatible SUPRA underwater lights and operates on 10.5 to 31 V DC, making it suitable for common 12 V and 24 V marine electrical systems. The hub supports synchronized color, strobe and fade control when used within the SUPRA i-Connect system.

Variants

This hub kit is offered in two compatibility configurations for SUPRA underwater light installations.

The main difference is the underwater light family the hub is meant to control. The THX/TIX version is for thru-hull SUPRA lights, while the SMX version is for surface-mount SUPRA lights. Both configurations support up to 4 compatible lights per hub.

• 010-04359-00, underwater light compatibility: THX/TIX. This version is used when expanding or wiring SUPRA THX or TIX thru-hull underwater light systems.
• 010-04356-00, underwater light compatibility: SMX. This version is used with SUPRA SMX surface-mount underwater light systems and keeps the control hub matched to the surface-mount fixture layout.

Installation and setup

This is an additional hub, so it is most useful when a SUPRA installation needs another controlled group of underwater lights rather than a complete first-time control kit. It should be mounted in a dry, serviceable location where the installer can route power, light leads and control cabling without tight bends or strain at the connectors.

For larger layouts, THX/TIX systems can use up to 16 hubs per boat, while SMX systems can use up to 4 hubs per boat. That makes the hub suitable for transom lighting expansions, multi-light sportfish installations, larger cruisers and yachts where several underwater fixtures need to stay synchronized.

Compatibility and fit

Match the hub to the installed underwater light type before ordering. THX and TIX refer to thru-hull SUPRA lights, while SMX refers to surface-mount SUPRA lights. Mixing the wrong hub style with the wrong light family can create fit and wiring issues during installation.

The hub is a good match for boat owners, refit yards and marine electronics installers adding SUPRA underwater lights to an existing system or expanding beyond a basic four-light layout. It is also useful when the wiring plan benefits from splitting lights into cleaner hub locations instead of crowding all runs into one area.

Electrical and system integration

The 10.5 to 31 V DC operating range gives the hub flexibility across most recreational marine DC systems. As with any underwater lighting circuit, cable routing, fusing, breaker selection and conductor sizing should follow the light system requirements and the boat’s electrical standards.

When paired with the SUPRA Bridge Module, the lighting system can be brought into compatible MFD control. Without that bridge, the hub still works as part of the SUPRA i-Connect control layout for synchronized dual-color lighting functions.
