Overview
The Garmin Navionics Vision+ NVEU004R is an electronic chart package for compatible Garmin chartplotters covering the Irish Sea, with coastal coverage along the western coast of Britain and the eastern coast of Ireland, including the Isle of Man and Isles of Scilly. Coverage runs from Port Ellen on the Isle of Islay to Falmouth in Britain, and from Fanad Head to Kenmare Bay in Ireland.
It combines coastal and inland mapping with detailed nautical chart layers, plus a one-year subscription that unlocks daily updates and downloadable features through the ActiveCaptain app. You can use depth range shading with up to 10 shaded target depth ranges, set shallow water shading to match your comfort level, and view contour detail down to 1 ft where chart data supports it.
This product range is offered as Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+. Navionics Vision+ adds premium layers such as high-resolution relief shading, high-resolution satellite imagery, aerial photography, side scan images and 3D views.

Variants
This chart is offered in multiple configurations, combining two content levels with two delivery formats.
What varies is the Version (Garmin Navionics+ or Garmin Navionics Vision+) and the Format (microSD/SD card or Download). The coverage is the Irish Sea area; chart code is NVEU004R for Navionics Vision+ and NSEU004R for Navionics+.
- 010-C1232-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+, Format microSD/SD. This arrives as a physical microSD/SD card that plugs into the chartplotter card slot.
- 010-D1834-00: Version Garmin Navionics Vision+, Format Download. This is loaded onto a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express, then the card is used in the chartplotter.
- 010-C1232-20: Version Garmin Navionics+, Format microSD/SD. This arrives as a physical microSD/SD card that plugs into the chartplotter card slot.
- 010-D1834-20: Version Garmin Navionics+, Format Download. This is loaded onto a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express, then the card is used in the chartplotter.
Compatibility and fit
These charts are for use on compatible Garmin chartplotters. Confirm your plotter supports Garmin Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ content, and check which advanced layers your display can show.
Auto Guidance+ provides suggested routes for planning purposes. It does not replace keeping a proper lookout, following local rules and notices, or using updated paper and electronic navigation practices appropriate to your waters.
Installing and updating
For the microSD/SD versions, insert the card into the chartplotter to access chart detail for the covered area. For the download versions, the chart data is loaded onto a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express, and that card must be in the chartplotter when you want to use the charts.
The included one-year subscription enables daily updates and downloadable features through the ActiveCaptain app. If the subscription expires, areas and features already downloaded continue to work, but new updates and additional downloadable content will not be available unless the subscription is renewed.
Use on board
This chart area is a strong fit for coastal cruising, cross-channel runs, and fishing in and around the Irish Sea where contour detail and depth shading help with situational awareness. It is also useful for boaters moving between major ports and approaches on the Britain and Ireland coasts within the covered boundaries.
