Overview
The Garmin Ice Transducer is a hang-in-the-hole transducer for ice fishing setups, offered in multiple sonar types so you can match it to the Garmin sonar technology you run on your portable rig.
The Dual Beam-IF configuration operates at 77/200 kHz and supports 15° or 45° beamwidth options, which helps you balance wider coverage under the hole with a tighter view when you want it.
A silicone-coated cable stays flexible in harsh winter conditions, which makes it easier to route into a portable case and pack down without fighting a stiff cord. On the Dual Beam-IF kit, a 4-pin transducer adapter cable, a foam float, and a grommet are included for straightforward setup and cable management.
Key features
- Ice-fishing form factor that hangs through an ice hole and reads straight down
- Dual Beam-IF configuration: 77/200 kHz operation with 15° or 45° beamwidth options
- Silicone-coated cable that stays flexible when temperatures drop
- Multiple sonar-type options across the range, including Dual Beam, high-narrow CHIRP, high-wide CHIRP, Panoptix, LiveScope, and LiveScope Plus
- Beam options that help show fish, jigs, and structure with clearer separation under the ice
- Kit-style accessories used on supported configurations to help control depth and protect the cable at the hole
Variants
Variants differ by sonar type: Dual Beam, HN CHIRP, HW CHIRP, LiveScope Plus, LiveScope, and Panoptix.
Because these sonar types use different processing and interfaces, compatibility depends on the sonar technology your Garmin system supports.
Compatibility and fit
This is meant for portable hardwater setups where the transducer is lowered into the water and held below the ice. It is not a permanent hull or transom install part for a boat.
Fit is mainly about matching the sonar type and connector style to your Garmin unit, then allowing for the cable run from the hole to the display inside a shelter or on a sled.
Installation and setup
Lower the transducer below the ice so the face stays submerged and points straight down. On kits that use a foam float, the float helps keep the transducer at a consistent depth and reduces twisting as you move around the hole.
Route the cable away from sharp ice edges and pinch points, and leave a little slack so you can hop between holes without tugging on the connector.
Use on the ice
This style of transducer fits anglers who run a portable Garmin sonar setup and want a transducer that can move hole to hole without tools.
It also suits shelter fishing where you need a cable that stays pliable for quick setup and pack-up at the end of the day.
