Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VEU046R is an electronic chart for compatible Garmin chartplotters, covering Sweden’s southeast coast and nearby inland waters in a format that loads from SD or microSD media.
Coverage includes the coastal run from Öregrund to Copenhagen, plus detailed areas around Stockholm and Nyköping. Inland mapping includes lakes such as Sommen and Nommen, and the region also covers islands including Gotland, Öland, Bornholm, and Åland with surrounding islands.
This chart family is offered as BlueChart g3 Vision or standard BlueChart g3. Both are built around detailed chart data and include functions like Auto Guidance, depth range shading (up to 10 depth ranges), and bottom contour detail that can show up to 1 foot contours where supported by the chart data and your plotter. The g3 Vision version adds extra display layers such as relief shading, satellite imagery, 3D views, and aerial photography, depending on chartplotter capability.
Key features
- Region VEU046R coverage for Sweden, Southeast Coastal and Inland, including Öregrund to Copenhagen plus Stockholm, Nyköping, and inland waters
- Available as BlueChart g3 Vision or standard BlueChart g3, with the same coverage area and different chart-layer sets
- Auto Guidance route suggestions that use your entered depth and overhead clearance settings on compatible chartplotters
- Depth Range Shading for up to 10 selectable depth ranges to make target depths easier to spot at a glance
- Bottom contour detail that can display up to 1 foot contours where that level of contouring is available
- Shallow water shading support for highlighting user-defined depth thresholds
- For g3 Vision variants: additional layers such as relief shading, satellite imagery, 3D views (FishEye and MarinerEye), and aerial photography where supported by your chartplotter
- SD card variants are read directly from the card, so the card needs to stay in the chartplotter to keep the chart and Vision-specific menus available
Variants
This chart is offered in multiple configurations that vary by chart version (BlueChart g3 Vision vs BlueChart g3) and delivery format (SD Card vs Download).
All variants cover the same VEU046R Sweden, Southeast Coastal and Inland region; the main differences are the extra display layers available in the Vision version and how the chart is delivered to your plotter.
- 010-C0782-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, SD Card. The chart is preloaded on removable media and runs directly from the card while it is inserted in the chartplotter.
- 010-D0452-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, Download. The chart is downloaded to SD or microSD media using Garmin Express and is unlocked to the selected chartplotter during the download process.
- 010-C0782-20: BlueChart g3, SD Card. This is the standard BlueChart g3 version on a preloaded card for chartplotters that read g3 mapping from removable media.
- 010-D0295-00: BlueChart g3, Download. This is the standard BlueChart g3 version delivered via download to SD or microSD media and unlocked to the selected chartplotter.
Compatibility and fit
These charts are for Garmin chartplotters that support BlueChart g3 or BlueChart g3 Vision mapping and have an SD or microSD card slot. Chart features like Auto Guidance, relief shading, satellite imagery, 3D views, and aerial photography can vary by chartplotter model and software, so it is worth confirming feature support in your plotter menus before you rely on a specific overlay.
If your helm uses more than one display on a Garmin marine network, the chart can be viewed across compatible networked units when the mapping card is in the chartplotter it is unlocked to.
Installation and setup
For SD Card variants, insert the card into the chartplotter’s card slot and select the chart from your chart or map settings. The mapping is read from the card rather than copied into internal memory, so keep the card installed when you want this coverage and any Vision-specific features available.
For Download variants, use Garmin Express to download the chart to SD or microSD media. During setup you select the chartplotter the chart is unlocked to, which is the device that must have the card inserted to display the charts and share them across a compatible Garmin marine network.
Use on board
VEU046R is a practical fit for boats cruising Sweden’s southeast coast, running the approaches toward Copenhagen, or working the Stockholm area where tight navigation and local detail matter. Anglers who like reading structure also benefit from the contour detail and shading tools when the plotter supports those layers.
