Overview
The Raymarine E70536-05-NAG is a 12.1-inch chartplotter and fishfinder combo with an included HV-100 transom transducer and Navionics Plus USA & Canada chart coverage. It uses a WXGA 1280 x 800 IPS display with 1500 nits of brightness and wide 89 degree viewing angles, so the screen stays readable at an open helm in full sun. The unit runs on a 12 V system with an 8 to 16 V operating range, draws about 25 W, and carries IPX6 and IPX7 protection for spray, rain, and washdowns.
Its sonar package covers shallow detail work and deeper fishfinding without adding a separate sounder module. HyperVision runs at 1.2 MHz for close structure detail to 125 ft, standard 350 kHz modes extend DownVision to 600 ft and SideVision or RealVision 3D to 300 ft, and the 200 kHz high CHIRP channel reaches 900 ft. The large keyed interface also makes sense on boats where wet hands, spray, and vibration can make touch control less convenient.
Key features
- 12.1-inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution, 1500 nits brightness, and wide 89 degree viewing angles
- Built-in HyperVision, DownVision, SideVision, RealVision 3D, and 200 kHz high CHIRP sonar in one display
- Included HV-100 transom transducer with 6 m fitted cable for a single transom-mount sonar installation
- Built-in GNSS receiver with GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou support for charting and position fixing at the helm
- NMEA 2000 networking through the supplied power cable, plus 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and a microSDXC chart slot
- 12 V nominal power, 8 to 16 V operating range, 5 A inline fuse requirement, and IPX6/IPX7 water resistance
Compatibility and fit
This unit fits boats that already run a 12 V electrical system and have helm space for a full-size keyed display. It reads Raymarine LightHouse charts, Navionics, and C-MAP cartography, so it works well for owners who want one screen to handle plotting and fishfinding without moving between separate devices. The included HV-100 is a transom-mount transducer with a single 15-pin HyperVision connection, and it is suited to installations where transom mounting is practical on fiberglass or metal hulls.
On a networked helm, it can sit on an NMEA 2000 backbone for shared data from other compatible equipment. That matters on boats where heading, position, and other onboard information need to be visible on the same display used for sonar and charts.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting position around sightlines at the wheel and clean cable routing behind the helm. The display comes with trunnion and flush mounting hardware, and the package includes the power and NMEA 2000 lead plus the transducer cable, so most installations stay straightforward. The HV-100 uses a transom bracket mount, which keeps the sonar setup familiar for small to mid-size fishing boats, bay boats, and center consoles.
This is a good match for skippers who want one large screen for charting, bottom tracking, and structure scanning from a single station. It also suits crews who spend time working shorelines, weed edges, docks, ledges, and channel breaks, then switch to deeper-water CHIRP when they move offshore or into deeper lakes.
