Overview
The Garmin 010-11351-40 is a 5 m interconnect cable that links a Reactor autopilot course computer unit (CCU) to the electronic control unit (ECU) on mechanical and hydraulic installations that use an ECU 12 or SmartPump. The 5 m (16.4 ft) length gives you room to mount the CCU and pump controller where they stay dry and accessible, even when the helm and steering hardware are separated on the boat.
It also includes bare-wire connections for an alarm circuit and an optional Shadow Drive valve connection, so those auxiliary hookups can stay in the same harness instead of becoming separate runs to chase through the rigging.
Key features
- 5 m (16.4 ft) interconnect run between the Reactor autopilot CCU and ECU
- ECU-side connector with a threaded collar for ECU 12 and SmartPump compatibility
- Integrated bare-wire connections for an alarm output and an optional Shadow Drive valve
- Single cable path helps keep routing tidy through rigging tubes, conduits, and under consoles
Compatibility and fit
This cable is used with the GHP Reactor Hydraulic Corepack with SmartPump and the GHP Reactor Mechanical/Retrofit/Solenoid Corepack. It is meant for the CCU-to-ECU link on the autopilot steering system, not for extending transducers or a marine network backbone.
Installation and routing
Plan CCU and ECU mounting locations first, then measure the intended path to stay within the 5 m length. Route the cable away from ignition wiring, inverter runs, and other high-current feeds when possible, and secure it so it cannot chafe in lockers, under decks, or behind the helm.
Keep connectors out of standing water and leave a small service loop at each end so the units can be removed for inspection without pulling on the plugs.
Use on board
This is a practical fit for boats where the CCU is mounted near the vessel centerline and the ECU or SmartPump hardware is closer to the steering gear, such as center consoles, cruisers, and sailboats with below-deck hydraulic components.
Maintenance and checks
If the autopilot reports ECU communication issues after heavy use, check that both ends are fully seated and that the threaded collar is snug, then inspect the run for pinch points or chafe where the cable passes through bulkheads and rigging channels.
