Overview
The Lumishore ECLIPSE SNL100 is a neon-flex LED strip light for adding a smooth, dot-free line of accent lighting around boat interiors and protected exterior areas. It runs on 12V DC systems only, with a 10 to 15V DC operating range, and the SNL100 strip has an IP68 rating for wet marine locations.
This range works well under gunwales, along cabin headliners, around T-tops, in cockpit trim, and on curved detail lines where a rigid light would not sit cleanly. The strip can be cut to length and sealed before installation, uses fully encapsulated and potted construction with a spot-free diffuser, and has a 12.0 x 6.1 mm illuminated cross section with compact end caps.
Key features
- 12V DC only operation, with a 10 to 15V DC range for compatible boat electrical systems.
- IP68-rated neon-flex strip for indoor, partially covered, outdoor, and wet-area installations, but not permanent underwater use.
- Smooth neon-style output helps hide individual LED points along gunwales, cabin headliners, T-tops, and cockpit accent runs.
- Available in 1 m, 2.5 m, and 5 m lengths with Blue, White, Blue/White, and RGB light options.
- Fully encapsulated and potted construction with a spot-free diffuser, UV resistance, and salt spray testing for marine exposure.
- Can be trimmed and sealed before fitting, then mounted with stainless steel screw clips.
- ECLIPSE Command Center compatibility adds dimming and zone control from a smart device or compatible MFD where the system is installed.
Variants
The range varies by length and light color. Lengths are 1 m, 2.5 m, and 5 m, and the color choices are Blue, White, Blue/White, and RGB.
The Blue and White versions are fixed-color accent lights, while Blue/White gives two selectable color outputs in one strip. RGB versions are for color-changing ECLIPSE installations where the control hardware supports color selection and lighting effects. Across the range, the shared product format is SNL100 neon flex with 12V DC input, IP68 protection, and a cut-and-seal installation method.
Installation and fit
Plan the run before cutting, especially around bends, end caps, and cable entry points. The SNL100 can follow curved surfaces with a 120 mm minimum bend radius, and it should not be twisted, pulled, kinked, or sharply folded during fitting. Runs longer than 1 m are easier to handle with two people so the strip stays flat while being mounted.
Power must be isolated before installation. The strip is for 12V DC boat systems only and should not be connected directly to AC power or to voltage outside the stated operating range. Cut ends need to be sealed before the light is installed in a wet or exposed area.
System integration
For simple single-color or dual-color installations, the light can be run from a suitable switching arrangement, with fusing and wiring sized for the load. On Blue/White installations, each color channel should be controlled separately rather than powered together.
When connected through the ECLIPSE Command Center system, the strip can be grouped into zones and dimmed from the control interface. This helps when matching cockpit, cabin, and deck accent lighting on the same boat.
