Overview
The Lumishore 010-04483-00 is a 1 m dual-color LED strip light that switches between blue and white light for on-board accent and courtesy lighting. It runs on 12 V DC systems only (10-15 V), draws up to 0.5 A per meter (6 W/m), and the strip is sealed to IP68 for wet locations.
The strip sits low and fits where rigid fixtures do not, with a 10.8 mm x 4.0 mm cross section. It is UV resistant and salt spray tested, which matters on open decks and in cockpits where sun and salt live. The strip can be cut to length in 50 mm steps, but the cut end needs to be sealed before installation so the water seal stays intact.
Wired as a simple 2-wire light, it can be controlled with an on/off switch for power and color selection. With an ECLIPSE Command Center controller, the same strip supports dimming, zone control, and additional lighting effects, including strobe, from a compatible MFD or smart device.

Installation and setup
Plan the run first and leave a little slack at each end for service access. Clean the mounting surface well so the adhesive backing bonds properly, then add mechanical fastening where you expect heat, vibration, or frequent washdowns.
When trimming the strip, cut only at the marked 50 mm cut points, seal the cut end, and keep connectors and splices out of areas that stay submerged. Protect the feed with an appropriately sized fuse at the power source and use tinned marine wire with heat-shrink terminations.
Compatibility and control
This is a 12 V DC only light strip. If your boat is 24 V, a proper 24-to-12 V converter is required and should be sized for the total strip load.
Basic switching gives on/off control and lets you toggle between blue and white. Adding an ECLIPSE Command Center opens up dimming and multi-zone control, which is useful when you want separate circuits for cockpit, cabin, and toe-kick lighting.
Where it fits on board
Common installs include under gunwales, along cockpit coamings, behind valances, under steps, inside lockers, and under cabinetry as a night light run that stays out of sight. Blue light is often used to preserve night vision, while the white channel gives a neutral task light for rigging, tackle, and quick cleanups.
This strip is a good match when you want a low-profile courtesy light run and need an IP68 strip that can handle spray, sun exposure, and typical vibration underway.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue when you can and avoid aiming a pressure washer directly at the ends and connectors. If you cut the strip, recheck the sealed end periodically and reseal if it shows any lifting or cracking.
