Overview
The Raymarine A80531 is an adapter plate for fitting a Raymarine Axiom Pro 12 multifunction display in place of an existing E120W display. It is made for helm retrofit work where the new 12-inch display needs to sit cleanly in an older dash opening without leaving an unfinished panel edge.
This plate is a fixed-mount installation accessory, not an electrical or network component. It does not affect NMEA 2000, SeaTalkng, sonar, radar, power, or data connections; those should be handled according to the display installation requirements. Its job is mechanical fit and finish at the mounting surface.
The black powder-coated finish matches the Axiom Pro styling, helping the replacement look intentional on the console. For refits on cruising boats, fishing boats, and other helm stations exposed to salt air, washdowns, vibration, and sun, the plate gives the installer a practical way to modernize the display while keeping the dash layout tidy.
Key features
- Fits Raymarine Axiom Pro 12 multifunction displays when replacing an existing E120W display.
- Helps cover the previous dash opening for a cleaner helm retrofit.
- Provides new fixing-hole placement for the replacement display installation.
- Black powder-coated finish coordinates with the Axiom Pro display at the console.
- Mechanical mounting accessory with no power draw, software setup, or marine network configuration required.
- Useful for electronics upgrades where replacing or rebuilding the full dash panel is not desired.
Installation and fit
Use this adapter plate when the vessel already has an E120W display location and the upgrade plan calls for an Axiom Pro 12 display. Before cutting, drilling, or sealing the helm surface, confirm the condition of the existing panel, the available space behind the dash, cable bend clearance, and the final position of the display.
The plate should be mounted on a flat, secure surface so the display sits evenly and the fasteners load properly. On fiberglass, aluminum, or composite helm panels, a careful dry fit is worth doing before final assembly, especially on older consoles where previous installations may have left enlarged holes, sealant residue, or uneven edges.
Use cases on board
This adapter is a practical match for owners or installers upgrading a navigation display without redesigning the entire helm. It is especially useful on refit projects where the old display opening is still usable, the Axiom Pro 12 is the selected replacement, and the finished appearance of the dash matters.
Because it is a passive mounting part, it works alongside the vessel’s existing electronics plan rather than changing it. The display, power wiring, transducers, radar, and network backbone still need to be checked separately for compatibility with the full Axiom Pro installation.
