This chart region is offered in multiple configurations to match your preferred chart type and delivery format.

The BlueChart version changes between BlueChart g3 Vision and BlueChart g3, and the format changes between a pre-programmed SD card and a download that you install to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express.

• 010-C0869-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, SD Card. This is a pre-programmed microSD/SD chart card that reads directly from the card while you navigate.
• 010-D0519-00: BlueChart g3 Vision, Download. The chart is installed to a microSD/SD card on a computer using Garmin Express, then the card is moved to the chartplotter.
• 010-C0869-20: BlueChart g3, SD Card. This is a pre-programmed microSD/SD chart card for the same Geraldton to Darwin region when you want the core chart set without the Vision layers.
• 010-D0541-00: BlueChart g3, Download. The chart is installed to a microSD/SD card on a computer using Garmin Express, then used in the chartplotter like a card-based chart.

Compatibility and fit

This cartography is for compatible Garmin chartplotters. Your unit needs a microSD/SD card slot for card-based charts, and download versions still require a microSD/SD card because the chart data is stored on the card for use in the plotter.

Chart support varies by chartplotter model and software version, so make sure your unit supports the BlueChart g3 or BlueChart g3 Vision chart type before committing to a specific variant.

Installation and setup

For SD Card versions, insert the chart card into the chartplotter card slot and restart if the unit does not recognize it right away. Keep the card in the slot while underway since the chart data is accessed from the card.

For Download versions, install the chart to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express, then insert that card into the chartplotter. Plan to dedicate that card to this chart region to avoid conflicts with other chart installs.

On-the-water use

Depth Range Shading is handy when you are targeting a specific depth band for route planning or fishing, and Shallow Water Shading helps you spot shallows earlier during unfamiliar approaches. If you use Auto Guidance, treat it as a planning aid and verify the suggested path against conditions, notices, and what you see outside.

The g3 Vision variants add 3D views and imagery layers that can make harbor entries and landmark recognition easier in areas where those layers are available.
