Overview

The Lopolight 400-401 is a 130 mm circular baseplate for horizontal mounting of Lopolight navigation lights. It has a 14 mm profile and weighs 11.99 oz (0.34 kg), giving you a stable mounting surface without adding much height.

The plate is silver anodized aluminum and uses A4 stainless steel hardware with nylon insulating shoulder bushings. It is built to let the light be fastened from above, which helps on hardtops, radar arches, and other places where underside access is limited.

This is a practical replacement when an existing base is worn, damaged, or corroded, and you want to keep your current Lopolight horizontal light setup in place while refreshing the mounting interface.

Installation and setup

Plan the location so the navigation light has clear sight lines and the 130 mm footprint sits on a flat, supported surface. The supplied hardware is for attaching the light to the baseplate; fasteners for securing the baseplate to the vessel are selected to suit your mounting surface and backing method.

On cored or exposed-deck areas, sealing the fastener holes and bedding the baseplate helps keep moisture out. After tightening, re-check the mount after the first few runs, especially if the light is installed on a structure that sees vibration.

Compatibility and fit

This baseplate is intended for Lopolight horizontal mounted lights using the matching promount bases. Confirm your existing base reference (400-034, 400-035, or 400-037) and verify you have room for the full 130 mm diameter before drilling or re-bolting.

Maintenance and care

Rinse with fresh water after saltwater use and wipe down with mild soap as needed. Avoid harsh abrasives that can wear the anodized surface, and keep the nylon bushings seated properly during service to maintain electrical isolation at the fasteners.
