Overview
The Garmin 010-11029-19 is a USB-A charging and data clip cable for select Approach, Forerunner, vivomove, and Lily watches. Plug it into a computer USB port to charge your watch and transfer data, or into any powered USB outlet on board when you just need to top up.
The clip attaches to the charging contacts on the back of the watch so it stays seated while the boat is at the dock or underway. It weighs about 50 g, which makes it easy to keep as a spare in a nav-station drawer, travel kit, or ditch bag.
Key features
- USB-A plug for standard USB ports and common marine USB chargers
- Single cable for charging and USB data transfer
- Works with an optional AC adapter (sold separately) for wall power or onboard outlets
- Black clip and cable that stays low-profile at the chart table or in a gear bag
- Lightweight carry spares well, about 50 g
Compatibility and fit
Charging connectors vary between Garmin watch families. This clip fits these compatible devices: Approach G10 and Approach S20; Forerunner 30, Forerunner 35, Forerunner 230, Forerunner 235, Forerunner 630, Forerunner 645, Forerunner 645 Music, and Forerunner 735XT; vivomove HR; Lily Classic Edition; and Lily Sport Edition.
If your watch uses a different charging style, it will not seat correctly on the clip, so matching the model list matters.
Charging on board
Any powered USB-A outlet will work, including a 12 V USB panel at the helm, a cabin USB outlet, or a power bank. Charge in a dry spot and leave enough slack so the watch is not hanging by the cable when the boat moves.
After saltwater spray, wipe the watch contacts and the clip pads with a clean dry cloth before charging. Keeping the contacts clean helps avoid intermittent charging and reduces the chance of corrosion on the small metal pads.
Data transfer and everyday use
When connected to a computer, the same cable charges while your watch transfers data. This is useful when you are syncing activity files and then heading back out for the next day on the water.
Use cases on board
This is a practical spare for skippers and crew who rely on a compatible Garmin watch and want a charger that can live on the boat. It also works well as a replacement when the original cable stays at home or gets lost in a gear shuffle.
