Overview

The Perko 1366 is a double lens navigation light for vessels over 20 meters, offered as either a white stern light or a yellow towing light. It is an incandescent commercial navigation light with 3 nautical mile visibility and a 135° visibility arc, giving larger vessels the stern or towing signal coverage required for night operation.

This light is built around a black fiber-filled polycarbonate housing with pre-wired medium prefocus sockets and two 3-foot lengths of 16/2-SO cable routed through watertight terminal tubes. The access cap is watertight for bulb changes and lens cleaning, which matters on working boats where spray, vibration, and routine service access are part of normal use.

Voltage depends on the bulb installed, with 24V, 120V, and 220V bulb options available. Bulbs are not included, so the correct Perko medium prefocus bulb must be matched to the vessel’s electrical system before installation.

Variants

This product is offered in two configurations for different vessel signaling needs.

The housing style, double lens construction, visibility distance, visibility arc, mounting format, cable arrangement, and bulb platform are consistent across the range. The light color and navigation role change by variant.

• 1366E00BLK: Light Color White Stern Light. This version is the white stern light configuration and includes the gray tinted lens used for the white stern application.
• 1366ME0BLK: Light Color Yellow Towing Light. This version is the yellow towing light configuration for vessels that need the aft-facing towing signal rather than a standard white stern signal.

Compatibility and fit

The 1366 series is intended for larger vessels over 20 meters, including commercial craft, workboats, towing vessels, and larger yachts that require navigation lights in this class. It mounts on a horizontal surface, so the installation area should provide a level mounting point, enough height clearance for the 17-1/4-inch body, and a cable path that protects the wiring from chafe and standing water.

Because this is an incandescent fixture, system compatibility depends on selecting the correct bulb for the vessel’s voltage. The light can be used with 24V, 120V, or 220V bulb options, but the bulb is not supplied with the fixture.

Installation and service notes

During installation, the light should be positioned so the 135° arc is not blocked by rails, davits, deck gear, antennas, or other equipment near the stern or towing light location. The supplied cable lengths and watertight terminal tubes give the installer a practical starting point for making protected connections inside the vessel structure.

The watertight access cap makes routine service more straightforward, especially on boats that operate at night or run in saltwater spray. Keeping the lens clean and using the correct medium prefocus bulb helps the light maintain the intended visibility pattern and range.
