Overview
The Garmin 010-11305-00 is a suction cup mount that holds a compatible Garmin GPS on a smooth windshield or flat panel so the screen stays in view at the helm. It is commonly used with Garmin nüvi 11xx, 12xx, and 13xx series units, and the mount weighs about 0.29 lb.
On a boat, this style of mount works best in a sheltered location where the surface stays clean and dry. It makes sense for a temporary install on a tender, a rental or delivery boat, or as a backup navigator that you only mount when you need it.
Key features
- Suction base attaches to a surface that is smooth and not textured, including glass and polished acrylic
- Adjustable positioning lets you angle the screen to reduce glare and keep controls reachable
- Tool-free install and removal so the GPS can be stowed quickly when trailering or leaving the boat unattended
- Compatible with Garmin nüvi 11xx, 12xx, and 13xx series devices (confirm your exact model and mount interface)
- Holds best when the mounting surface and suction cup are clean and dry, and it is a good idea to re-seat it after large temperature swings
Compatibility and fit
This mount is intended for Garmin nüvi units in the 11xx, 12xx, and 13xx families. Common examples include nüvi 1200, 1210, 1240, 1300, 1300T, 1310, 1340, 1340T, 1350T, 1370T, and 1390T.
Before ordering, compare the cradle or clip style on your GPS to what you are replacing. A suction base can stick to the glass, but the device still needs the correct interface to lock in securely.
Installation and setup
Clean the mounting surface with a residue-free cleaner and let it dry, then press the cup firmly into place. Set the viewing angle and give the mount a firm tug to confirm it is seated before you get underway.
For better hold in chop, mount as close to solid structure as your layout allows and avoid vinyl, unfinished fiberglass, or textured gelcoat where suction cups tend to leak air.
Use and care on board
If the mount gets exposed to salt spray, rinse it with fresh water and let it dry before stowing. Keeping the suction cup out of direct sun when not in use helps the rubber stay pliable and maintain grip over time.
