Overview
The Garmin 010-10192-01 is a P66 transom-mount transducer that delivers depth, speed, and water temperature in one package with a 6-pin connector.
It operates on 50 to 200 kHz traditional sonar at 600 W, with a beamwidth that ranges from 45 to 11 degrees. Depth performance is typically quoted in the 800 to 1,200 ft range depending on frequency and conditions, which makes it a practical choice when you want a dual-frequency setup on a transom rather than a thru-hull installation.
The mounting bracket is intended for transoms with a 2 to 20 degree angle. On most boats this means you can mount it near the centerline or on the starboard side where it stays in clean water flow, which helps both the sonar return and the speed reading at cruising pace.
Key features
- Transom-mount triducer that reads depth, speed, and water temperature from one sensor body
- 50 to 200 kHz traditional dual-frequency operation at 600 W for broad coverage and higher-detail returns
- Beamwidth range of 45 to 11 degrees across the operating frequencies
- Depth performance commonly listed from 800 to 1,200 ft depending on conditions and frequency
- 6-pin connector for Garmin sonar ports that use the 6-pin interface
- Mounting hardware geometry suited for 2 to 20 degree transoms
- Installation instructions are provided to help with placement, alignment, and cable routing
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location so the transducer face stays submerged at speed and sits in smooth, aeration-free water. Avoid areas directly behind strakes, steps, or anything that feeds bubbles across the face, and keep it clear of prop wash. A careful dry-fit before drilling helps confirm the bracket can be adjusted to match your transom angle and ride height.
Route the cable up and away from high-heat areas and moving parts, then secure it every so often so it cannot chafe with vibration. Leave a little service slack at the transducer and at the head unit so the connector is not under tension.
Compatibility and fit
This version uses a 6-pin connector, so it is meant for Garmin sounders and chartplotter-sonar combinations that accept a 6-pin transducer plug. If your display or sounder module uses a different transducer port style, confirm the required interface before installing so you are not forced to re-run cabling later.
Because this is a transom-mount unit, it is best suited to hulls that have a clean transom area available for mounting and ongoing access for inspection. It is not a substitute for an in-hull or thru-hull installation when you need a fully inside-the-boat mounting position.
Use on board
This is a solid match for coastal cruisers and anglers who want classic 50/200 kHz sonar with speed and water temperature in the same transducer. The combined readings are useful for dialed-in trolling, tracking temperature breaks, and keeping a consistent pace when currents or wind change throughout the day.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the transducer after saltwater use and check it occasionally for marine growth that can soften sonar performance. Inspect the mounting screws and cable for looseness or chafe, especially after trailering, long runs in chop, or any contact with floating debris.
