Compatibility and fit

This cartography is for compatible Garmin chartplotters and marine handhelds that support BlueChart g3 mapping and accept an SD or microSD card.

If your chartplotter shipped with built-in Garmin Navionics+ mapping, confirm your model can use BlueChart g3 add-on mapping before ordering, since some newer units do not support it.

On multi-display installs, plan where the chart card will live so the screen you use for navigation has access to the chart data.

Installation and setup

For the SD Card versions, insert the card into the plotter card slot and reboot the unit if it does not prompt automatically.

For the Download versions, use Garmin Express to download the chart and write it to a compatible memory card, then insert that card in the chartplotter.

Keep the card seated while underway and avoid removing it while the chartplotter is powered on.
