Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 1479 is a 360 Panel 120V AC dual outlet module for adding two AC receptacles to a Blue Sea 360 Panel installation. Its panel footprint is 4.88 in wide by 4.75 in high with a 1 in depth, which helps when you need AC outlet access in a compact panel space.
This unit fits boats with a 120V AC electrical system and makes the most sense in a 360 Panel layout where outlets, switching, and monitoring are grouped in one panel area. It is a straightforward way to add two plug-in points without stepping outside the 360 Panel format.
Key features
- Made for the Blue Sea Systems 360 Panel platform
- Two 120V AC outlets in one panel module
- Compact overall size of 4.88 in x 4.75 in x 1 in
- Rear wiring accepts 12 AWG or 14 AWG conductors
- Terminal layout follows standard AC wiring practice with hot to brass, neutral to silver, and ground to the green screw or frame ground point
Compatibility and fit
This module is for 120V AC service, not for 12V or 24V DC circuits. Before ordering, check that your panel is built around the 360 Panel system and that you have enough rear clearance for the outlet body and wiring connections.
It works well in refit or new-build panel work where a pair of AC outlets needs to sit close to the rest of the boat's electrical controls. For many boats, that can be useful near a nav station, cabin service panel, or another protected interior panel location where plug-in access is needed.
Installation and setup
Installation uses 12 or 14 AWG wire. The hot conductor connects to the brass screw, the neutral connects to the silver screw, and the green or bare grounding conductor connects to the green screw, with the option to bond ground to the metal frame.
As with any AC panel work on board, disconnect AC and DC power before wiring and confirm the surrounding circuit, protection, and panel layout are correct for the vessel's electrical system.
