Overview
The Perko Flush Latch (Non-Locking) is a flush-mount marine latch for boat hatches, doors, lockers, and access panels where a clean, low-profile pull is needed without a key lock. It installs in a 2" diameter mounting hole, fits door or hatch thicknesses from 1/4" to 1-1/8", and uses a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" face plate.
This latch uses a polymer face in black or white, a chrome-plated zinc alloy handle, and a stainless steel stem and lock nut. Built-in detents show the open and closed positions, which helps during quick access to cockpit lockers, cabin storage, deck hatches, and service panels.
Key features
- Non-locking flush latch for hatches, doors, lockers, and access panels that need fast hand access.
- Installs in a 2" diameter hole and fits doors or hatches from 1/4" to 1-1/8" thick.
- 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" face plate gives a tidy flush finish on fiberglass, wood, or panel surfaces where the cutout and thickness match.
- Available with black or white polymer face options to match common deck, cockpit, and cabin finishes.
- Chrome-plated zinc alloy handle with stainless steel stem and lock nut for hardware that suits marine latch duty.
- Open and closed detents give a clear feel when the latch has been turned into position.
- Cam bar options cover adjustment ranges from 3/8" to 3" or 1-1/16" to 2-9/16", depending on the selected configuration.
Variants
This Perko Flush Latch range varies by finish and cam bar style. The black and white versions share the same flush latch format, face plate size, 2" mounting hole requirement, and 1/4" to 1-1/8" door thickness range.
The cam bar selection changes how the latch reaches and engages behind the hatch, door, or panel. The 3/8" to 3" adjustment range is used on the No. 1 and No. 2 configurations, while the No. 3 configuration uses a 1-1/16" to 2-9/16" range. Carton shipping weight also varies by configuration.
Installation and fit
Before ordering, check the panel thickness, available clearance behind the hatch or door, and the cam bar reach needed to engage the strike or backside surface. The 2" round cutout and square face plate make it well suited for replacement work when the existing opening and footprint match.
Because this is a non-locking latch, it is best used where quick access matters more than security, such as cabin lockers, cockpit storage, inspection panels, and deck compartments. It is not the right choice for compartments that need keyed access control.
Use cases on board
This latch is a practical match for boats that need a flush pull with simple twist operation and a clean surface that will not snag lines, clothing, or gear as easily as raised hardware. It works well in areas where crew need to open a hatch or locker quickly during cruising, fishing, maintenance, or dockside use.
