Overview
The Vimar Eikon 20295 USB supply unit is a flush-mounted 2-module charging insert for adding USB power at a cabin berth, saloon seating area, chart table, or other interior panel on board. Across the range, it delivers 5 V USB charging and is available with USB-A + USB-A, USB-A + USB-C, or USB-C + USB-C port layouts.
Charging output depends on the version. The dual USB-A models provide a total of 2.1 A and run on 120-230 V~ 50/60 Hz. The variants that include USB-C step up to 5 V / 3 A with up to 15 W total output and run on 120-240 V~ 50/60 Hz. All listed versions keep the same Eikon styling, plastic construction, and flush-mounted 2-module format.
Key features
- Three port layouts across the range: dual USB-A, USB-A + USB-C, or dual USB-C
- Dual USB-A versions are rated at 5 V with 2.1 A total output for one 2.1 A device or two 1 A devices
- Versions that include USB-C are rated at 5 V / 3 A with up to 15 W total output
- AC input depends on version: 120-230 V~ 50/60 Hz on dual USB-A models and 120-240 V~ 50/60 Hz on versions with USB-C
- Flush-mounted 2-module format for a built-in charging point in the Eikon range
- Available in grey, silver, and white with a plastic front to suit different interior finishes
Variants
This range covers three finishes and three port layouts, so the main differences are visual match and the way newer or older charging cables plug in. Grey, silver, and white options let the insert blend with different Eikon trim styles, while the port layout changes from dual USB-A to mixed USB-A and USB-C or dual USB-C.
Output also changes with the port configuration. The dual USB-A versions are rated at 5 V with 2.1 A total output. The variants that include USB-C are rated at 5 V / 3 A, up to 15 W total. Across the listed variants, the mounting format stays at 2 modules and the unit remains flush-mounted.
Compatibility and fit
This unit needs an AC supply, so it fits boats with a 120-230 V or 120-240 V AC system fed by shore power, an inverter, or a generator. It is not a direct 12 V or 24 V DC charger, so it belongs in the vessel's AC fit-out rather than in a low-voltage DC panel.
Before ordering, check that the installation point accepts a 2-module Eikon device and confirm which cable type is used most on board. Dual USB-A suits older cables, mixed USB-A and USB-C covers a boat in transition, and dual USB-C makes sense where phones, tablets, and smaller accessories have already moved to USB-C.
Installation and use on board
For most boats, this insert makes sense in interior panels such as berth areas, saloon bulkheads, and nav stations rather than at exposed helm or deck locations. The flush format keeps the face tidy and avoids a loose plug-in charger hanging out of a socket.
It is a good match for owners adding built-in charging where crew or guests actually use their devices. On family cruisers and charter boats, the mixed USB-A and USB-C versions help cover older and newer devices from one charging point.
