Overview
The Vimar Eikon 20292 is a flush-mounted USB power unit that adds a clean 5 V charging point on board when your boat is on shore power or running an inverter-fed AC circuit. It fits as a 1-module insert in the Eikon system behind a matching frame and cover plate, so you get a finished, built-in look at the nav station, in the cabin, or near a berth.
All configurations run from 120-240 V~ 50/60 Hz AC and convert that to USB power at the wall. Depending on the version, you can have a single USB-A port, a single USB-C port, a mixed USB-A plus USB-C layout, or dual USB-C, with output ranging from 5 V 1.5 A on the basic single-port units up to higher-power versions for faster charging.

Variants
This product family is offered in multiple configurations that vary by face color and by the USB port layout on the front (USB-A, USB-C, USB-A plus USB-C, or USB-C plus USB-C).
Power capability also varies by configuration. The basic single-port units are rated 5 V 1.5 A, mixed-port versions are available at 12 W or 15 W, dual USB-C versions are 15 W, and select single USB-C versions support up to 25 W with Power Delivery. Across the range, the units are 1-module Eikon inserts powered from 120-240 V~ 50/60 Hz AC.
Installation and setup
This is a flush wiring device, so it installs in a recessed wall box behind an Eikon frame and cover plate. Plan the location where it stays protected from direct spray and washdowns, such as inside the cabin, at the nav station, or in a sheltered helm console panel.
Connect it to an appropriately protected AC circuit from the boat’s distribution panel. If you are not already set up with an onboard AC system, this is not a direct 12 V or 24 V DC USB charger. It needs an AC feed supplied by shore power, generator, or an inverter.
Compatibility and fit
Confirm you are using the Vimar Eikon format for frames, supports, and cover plates, and that there is enough depth in the back box for the insert and wiring. When fitting it in a helm or interior panel, leave room for the USB plugs so cables can route without sharp bends or strain.
Use on board
This is a good match for cruisers and day boats that already rely on onboard AC power and want a tidy charging point where devices naturally get used, like a chart table, settee area, or berth. It also helps reduce loose adapters that can vibrate out of standard AC receptacles underway.
Maintenance and care
Keep the front clean and dry, and wipe with a soft cloth. If the unit is installed in an area that sees condensation or damp air, make sure the surrounding panel and box stay ventilated and free of standing moisture.
