Overview
The Lumishore 010-04460-00 is an ECLIPSE 18 inch (40 cm) LED flood light that throws single-color white light (5500 K) for exterior task lighting on boats. Output is rated at 10,000 fixture lumens with a 70° - 90° oval beam, which helps cover wide areas like a cockpit, deck, or transom without the tight hotspot you get from a narrow spot.
It runs on 10.5 - 31 V DC, so it fits typical 12 V and 24 V onboard systems, and it is rated up to 9.2 A at 12 V or 4.6 A at 24 V. The housing is powder-coated aluminum with an IP68 water-ingress rating for exposed mounting where spray, washdowns, and vibration are part of normal life.
Key features
- Single-color white output at 5500 K with 10,000 fixture lumens
- 70° - 90° oval beam pattern for broad deck and cockpit coverage
- 10.5 - 31 V DC input for 12 V and 24 V electrical systems
- IP68-rated, powder-coated aluminum housing for exposed exterior installs
- 3 x 10W white LED light engine
- Control options include basic on/off switching or integration with an ECLIPSE Command Center or EOS-LUX Command Center; dimming support is built in
- Simple 2-wire hookup for basic switching, or 3-wire wiring when used with the compatible command centers
Installation and setup
This light is intended for exterior mounting on solid structure where you can aim it over the work area. Common locations include cabin tops, T-tops, arches, transoms, and radar pedestals, especially where you want light to reach the cockpit or swim platform without spilling back into the helm.
Because it is an articulating flood light, plan the mounting position so you have room to set the angle you want and still access the fasteners later. On thin fiberglass panels, adding a proper backing plate helps keep the mount stable in chop and reduces stress cracks over time.
Electrical and system integration
Plan wiring for the current draw and for voltage drop on longer runs, especially on 12 V systems where amperage is higher. Use marine-grade, tinned copper conductors and sealed terminations, and keep connections out of standing water or areas that get constant spray.
For simple operation, it can be wired as a 2-wire on/off load with a third-party switch. When you want integrated control through an ECLIPSE Command Center or EOS-LUX Command Center, allow for the 3-wire wiring arrangement during the install so you are not re-pulling cable later.
Use cases on board
This style of flood light makes sense for night docking, loading gear, rinsing down at the dock, or lighting an aft working area for fishing and rigging. It is also a good match for boats that keep exterior lights mounted in the weather and still want an IP68-rated fixture that can take regular washdowns.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt off the housing after trips when practical, and keep the lens clean so output does not get muted by film or dried spray. Periodically check mounting fasteners and cable routing for chafe, especially after a season of pounding or trailering.
