Overview
The Lumishore 010-04474-00 is a recessed ECLIPSE DL55 white LED downlight with a black finish, sized for clean overhead lighting in cabins, heads, cockpits, and under hardtops. Output is white at 5000 K, rated at 172 fixture lumens, and it runs on 12V DC systems only (10 to 15V DC).
The light is sealed to IP67 for wet areas and washdowns, but it is not meant to be permanently submerged. For fit planning, the bezel is 64.0 mm (2.519 in) with a 50.8 mm (2.0 in) cutout and 21.2 mm (0.834 in) depth behind the panel.
Key features
- White output at 5000 K with 172 fixture lumens for general overhead lighting
- 12V DC only (10 to 15V DC); max current draw 0.4A (typical current draw about 0.33A at 12V)
- IP67 sealed face for wet areas and washdowns; not intended for permanent submersion
- Cutout and size: 50.8 mm (2.0 in) hole, 64.0 mm (2.519 in) bezel, 21.2 mm (0.834 in) depth
- Aluminum body with a glass front, finished with E-coating and powder coating; black bezel to blend with dark headliners and hardtops
- Interior mounting uses stainless steel spring clips; adhesive mounting is supported for exterior installations and wet areas
- Control and dimming through a simple on/off switch or an ECLIPSE Command Center; it is not intended to be wired to third-party lighting dimmers
- Built-in electrical protection including reverse polarity protection and ISO 8846 ignition protection
Compatibility and fit
This downlight is for 12V boats only and should be fed from a stable 10 to 15V DC supply. On 24V vessels, it will need a proper 24V-to-12V conversion or a dedicated 12V lighting circuit before it can be installed.
Plan the mounting location around the 2.0 in (50.8 mm) cutout and 21.2 mm depth, and keep the mounting surface flat rather than curved so the bezel seats evenly and stays sealed.
Installation and wiring
Electrical hookup is a straightforward 2-wire run: connect the positive feed to red and ground to black, with a correctly sized fuse in the supply line. For multiple lights, use appropriate cable gauge to keep voltage drop under 3% at the last fixture in the run.
For switch control, the light can be dimmed by toggling the on/off switch, with an off period of about two seconds returning the light to full output. When used with an ECLIPSE Command Center, follow the correct harness wiring and keep to a maximum of 16 lights on the output.
On-board use notes
The 5000 K white is a clean, neutral-cool tone that reads well for galley work, moving around at night, and general cockpit tasks. The black finish is a good match for dark liners, black hardware packages, and hardtop undersides where you want the trim to disappear.
The back of the fixture can warm up in use, so mount it to a surface that is suitable for recessed lighting and keep the rear area free of materials that could be affected by heat.
Maintenance and care
Clean the bezel and lens with a soft cloth using soap and water. Avoid chemical cleaners, which can haze the lens and compromise the finish over time.
