Overview

The Lumishore 010-04476-00 is a recessed, dual color LED downlight that switches between white (5000 K) and blue for overhead lighting on a 12V DC boat.

It operates on 10 to 15V DC with a simple 2-wire hookup, and the front of the light is IP67 rated for wet areas and washdowns. The housing uses an aluminum body with a glass front and comes in a black finish, but it is not intended for permanent submersion.

For fit, it installs through a 50.8 mm (2.0 inch) cutout with a 64.0 mm (2.519 inch) bezel, a 3.5 mm low profile, and about 21.2 mm (0.834 inch) of depth behind the mounting surface.

Installation and setup

Choose a flat mounting surface and confirm you have clearance behind the headliner or panel for the body and wiring. For interior overheads, the spring clips hold the light in the cutout. In exterior locations or areas that see regular spray, bedding the bezel with a suitable marine sealant helps keep the install tight and water resistant.

Electrical and control notes

This light is intended for a fused 12V DC circuit, and longer runs should be wired with a cable size that keeps voltage drop low across the chain. When wired to a simple on/off switch, toggling the switch cycles between white and blue, and a brief power-off resets the light back to white. If you are integrating into an ECLIPSE Command Center system, keep dual-color lights on their own zone output.

Where it fits on board

This style of downlight works well in cabin headliners, heads, helm overheads, companionways, and hardtops where you want normal white light for cleanup and checks, plus blue light for night passages and keeping night vision intact. It also suits refits where you want dual-color flexibility without adding a second fixture or extra wiring runs.
