Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision VEU469S Electronic Chart, Stockholm & Mälaren, Auto Guidance, Depth Range Shading up to 10 Ranges, 1 ft Contours, Shallow Water Shading, High-Resolution Satellite Imagery, Aerial Photography, MarinerEye and FishEye 3D Views
Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VEU469S is an electronic chart for the Stockholm and Mälaren area, made for use on compatible Garmin chartplotters. Coverage includes the Swedish coast from Öregrund to Norrköping, plus detailed mapping for Norrtälje, Stockholm, and Södertälje, along with the lower Dalälven from Gysinge to Söderfors.
This chart set combines Garmin and Navionics content and adds planning and situational tools that matter when you are threading tight channels. It includes Depth Range Shading for up to 10 depth ranges, Shallow Water Shading you can set to your own depth, and bottom detail with up to 1-foot contours in supported areas.
When you are coming into an unfamiliar harbor or working through the archipelago, the satellite imagery overlay, 3D MarinerEye and FishEye views, and available aerial photos help you match what is on the screen to what you are seeing ahead of the bow.
Key features
- Regional coverage for Stockholm and Mälaren, including Öregrund to Norrköping, Norrtälje, Stockholm, Södertälje, and the lower Dalälven (Gysinge to Söderfors).
- Integrated Garmin and Navionics chart content for coastal navigation detail.
- Auto Guidance route suggestions based on your entered depth and overhead clearance for trip planning.
- Depth Range Shading supports up to 10 depth ranges to help you highlight the water you can comfortably run.
- Shallow Water Shading can be set to your own threshold so shoals stand out quickly at a glance.
- Up to 1-foot contours in supported areas for tighter bottom definition that helps when fishing or anchoring.
- High-resolution satellite imagery overlay for a more realistic view when piloting in close quarters.
- 3D perspectives with MarinerEye and FishEye views, plus aerial photos for many ports, harbors, and marinas.
Variants
This chart is offered in two formats so you can match how you prefer to load and carry cartography on board.
The chart region and features are consistent across the options, while the delivery format and setup workflow are what change.
- 010-C0813-00 (Format: microSD/SD). Provided on a chart card that inserts into your plotter’s card slot and stays in place while you use the charts.
- 010-D0411-00 (Format: Download). Downloaded to an SD card using Garmin Express, then used in the plotter the same way as a chart card.
Compatibility and fit
This cartography requires a compatible Garmin chartplotter or sounder that supports BlueChart g3 Vision and has a card slot. Confirm whether your unit takes microSD or full-size SD, and use an adapter only when it is appropriate for your device and card format.
Installation and setup
For the card format, insert the microSD or SD card into the chart card slot and power the unit on. Chart data is read from the card, so it needs to remain inserted while you navigate.
For the download format, you will load the chart data to an SD card on a computer using Garmin Express, then insert that SD card into the plotter. Keep that card dedicated to chart use and store it where it stays clean and dry between trips.
Use on board
Depth Range Shading and Shallow Water Shading are practical tools for setting up a view that matches your draft and comfort margin, especially when water levels and local shoaling are a concern. Auto Guidance can be a helpful first pass for route planning, but it is still on you to review the suggested path against local conditions, notices, and what you see on the water.
When you are picking your way into marinas or docks around Stockholm, the satellite overlay, 3D views, and aerial photos make it easier to recognize breakwaters, basins, and entrances before you commit.
Who it suits
This chart is a good fit for skippers running coastal passages and tight piloting areas in the Stockholm region, and for anglers who want contour detail when working structure. It also makes sense for cruisers who like extra visual context when arriving in ports they do not know well.
Care and handling
Treat the card like any other piece of navigation gear: keep contacts clean, avoid bending the card, and store it away from salt spray when it is not in the plotter. If you move the card between boats, power down before swapping to reduce the chance of file corruption.
